My documents reached Sydney on 1st Sep 2009. Until now, I cannot check my status with my client id.

How long does it often take to check status by client id recently?

What client ID are you talking about? The immigration file number?

If your documents reached Sydney NS on 1st September, then have you received a letter (AOR) from them?
That will contain your immigration file number.

my ECas took 42 days to be enabled (13 jul -> 24 aug).

So you should wait at about a week ;) .

If your documents reached Sydney NS on 1st September, then have you received a letter (AOR) from them?
That will contain your immigration file number.

Candidates which already got a canadian study or work permit can check ECas before getting AOR.
They can use Client ID instead of Immigration file ID.
