if i staid in alabama 5 months and 29 days do i need a state clearance certificate?

I am not sure if its every state youve been in for a year or more after the age of 18. I would get it though but review the info on the CIC website. They will tell you there.

Please read http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/north-america/united-states.asp

You don't need US state certificates unless the processing office asks for them.
