Hi

I and my husband are going to apply for Canadian Immigration. But before this I have a few questions to be clarified:

1. My husband is a wealth manager (relationship manager) with a bank. What will be his NOC code? I do not find any code for this. Sad

2. I am working as a marketing manager in a trading company. Should I apply as a skilled worker or as a dependent on primary applicant (my husband). If I should apply as a skilled worker then what should be my NOC code. I am sorry but I went through the list so many times and still could not find the relevant code to my job

3. When is the right time to apply for the immigration? We were planning to apply in October 2010 but is there a chance that the 10, 000 cap will be full till then?

I look forward to get answers to my queries soon.

Thanks in advance!  Smiley

Probably equivalent to a "financial planner" -

http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2006/ProfileKeyword.aspx?val=1&val1=1114&val11=investment+advisor&val12=0&val13=0&val14=&val15=0&val16=0

2. I am working as a marketing manager in a trading company.

so, you are NOC 0611?
http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2006/ProfileKeyword.aspx?val=0&val1=0611&val11=marketing+manager&val12=0&val13=0&val14=&val15=0&val16=0

Whomever meets the qualifications.  Unfortunately, unless you have a job offer or work experience in Canada, I do not see that either of you qualify - your occupations are not on the "current list" of 29:

once you have matched your noc duties to the one listed in the cic site, you can now decide who can be the primary applicant; you can decide this by checking on who has a longer job experience and who has highest educational qualifications. this will allow you to get more points... you can do the self-assessment in the skilled workers immigrant section.

Hi sgg,

You and your husband can apply under NOC 1122 (Professional Occupations in Business Services to Management), using any of the job titles that matches your skill. Pick only those duties that fit some or all of the duties stated under this NOC.

For your husband; use any of the job titles

business consultant, consultant, business, consultant, management, corporate development planning adviser, corporate planner

For you; it can be any of the underlisted....

marketing specialist – advertising, product manager – marketing, promotion representative, promotion specialist, promotion strategies consultant.

For the limit of 20,000 applications, information on this is not available as I write.

Cheers

Thanks a ton for your help. I got the code for both me and my husband Smiley

My only concern now is if we should apply now which is the end of the year or should we apply in the beginning of the next year!
