Hi,

I have been working for 5 years up to now. However, during my 5 years, I only work in my nominated NOC for 2 years. How many points can I claim for Experience sector? Thanks

@  Aanban  -  I am applying under NOC-4131 because in the last 10 years of my working experience I have nearly 18 months of experience in this category so I can apply under this.

I am currently employed as Secondary Teacher which is NOC-4141
Does this NOC # fall under Skill level 0 or skill type A/B?

Please advise.

Hi!

If the other 3 years experience is not related to your 2 years experience in the NOC category you applied, I think they will not give you 21 points. You must have more than 4 years of experience in the NOC job category you applied in order to be awarded 21 points.

Rajnik1976,
Ypu quickly thank Aanban because what he said tallies with what you have been nursing in your mind.
Mind you that points are calculated for the occupations in the 38 ministerial list and if you have 18 months of experience in this field then expect 18months  points. For example if you have one year experience as college teacher and 5 years as secondryschool teacher will you claim the whole point? Just calculate 1 year for your self.

Seniors correct me if i am wrong

I think AANBAN  is right....I have total 10 years of work experience which consist of 1.5 years as a College Lecturer which is NOC-4131 and 8.5 years as a Secondary teacher which is NOC 4141

As per AANBAN NOC-4141 is skill level A which means I am eligible for 21 points because my work experience is more than 4 years.

Seniors Am I right?

Hi Guys,

Like rajnik1976, I was once a secondary teacher for 6 yrs.  Hence, NOC 4141.

Later that time, I was transferred to the college & taught for the next 3 yrs.  Hence, NOC 4131.

Can i still get 21 ponts even if 4141 is not in the 38, right?

Been wondering how did rajnik1976 got 21points?  Or is it bec 4141 is actually 1 of the 38, but just located under bracket 4131's bracket.

just got confused...

Simply for our kids!
