For starters locate your birth certificate...to get a general idea of direction you could do a one-hour phone consult with an immigration attorney (shouldn't be more than 150-200 bucks CDN I guess) about your direction to take. Just a possibility-- and watch for PMM's reply here-- usually pretty accurate from what I've seen.
If you were born in Canada, you are a Canadian. Unless your parents were diplomats or under the visiting forces act. So apply for a Canadian passport, then sponsor your spouse, start about a year prior to your move. If you have children, they are citizens as well. So you should get them citizenship cards. See:
