(a) Did you get official confirmation at some stage that you achieved or surpassed the 67 points? If yes,how was the communication like? By way of regular mail or email?
(b)How did your employment background go? Did the CIC make visits or phone calls to your work station?
(a) No, I only got an Acknowledgment of Receipt when I first applied in 2005, through a letter that came by regular mail, without any reference to the points. After transfering my case to Tokyo I received a letter saying that they got the file, but there was no mention of the points either. By the way, the old system required 75 points, I think, and I had 80.
(b) I never heard from my employer about calls or other types of communications from the Consulate. I'm almost sure they didn't call. I understand that those checks are done randomly.
