per cic photo requirement, the photo size is 35x45mm with the measurement from chin to crown between 25-35 mm. the passport for Australia is 35x45 mm, so i try to use software from online to prepare photos by selecting Australia passport specification. it fits Canadian immigration photo specifications perfect. If I do like this, it is acceptable by CIC?

Yes mate australian passport photo is same as required by cic. We send the same photo and these were accepted.
