 I wish to bring to your attention CIC FOUR TEAMS namely- The pre Feb 28 with Full document, the pre feb 28 without document,'
, the 38 occupations and the 29 occupation with 20,000 caps. These four teams are currently competing for a space in the 250,000- 265,000 vacancies  for the 2011
   Going by the current processing, the FOURTH TEAM may have an upper hand over the other. This is because their application will be considered with NOC . One of the NOC has reached its upper limit.Another reason while the "FOURTH ELEVEN" will be favoured is premised on the fact that their full  docs has be submitted to CIC.Only PCC will be required. Congrats if you are blessed to be here

  The THIRD TEAM OR "THIRD ELEVEN" are those pre  Feb 28 applicants who applied prior to the new rule. The number of applicants in this category is in the neighbourhood of hundreds of thousand. Going by the current processing times at the various VISA OFFICE,  most of them may received their approval in the next  12 months ( Those who have submitted their full doc) . With the decrease in the number of POST JUNE 26, the odd may be in their favour. Don't worry if you are in the CLUB

   The   SECOND ELEVEN  are those who submitted their application forms to the VISA OFFICE. Well, Just be patient if you are here

 The  FIRST TEAM( Oh, the first has become the last)  are those who submitted  in 2003-2007/2008. I am not too sure if 2003 applicants is still on the queue. However, most 2004 applicants and some 2005 applicants are being asked to update their doc. The good news is that in 2011, virtually all 2004 and few 2005  would be singing a new song. If you are here, get ready to go.

I have a question- Why don't CIC update their data to fish out the applicants who applied  during the 2007-2010 and whose occupation are in the POST-JUNE 26 2010- Are there no pharmacist, Dentist, Physiotherapist, Nurses, Doctors,.Accountant who applied in 2007-2010 and are yet to receive their Visa? I cannot fathom this double standard.


    Considering the above scenario,   LET US pray that CIC does not introduce a FIFTH TEAM in the nearest future. Can I hear an AMEN?\

I am yet to see a better analysis, or allow me to say, I don't think that there is a better analysis of the present situation out there other than this one.. ..... Well done Man.
I guess only the Naija people and mentality fit understand the thing. Na WA O.!!!

Very true. Let's find a way to voice our concerns to the Immigration Minister. They are creating different categories of backlogs. Canada is supposed to be a leading developed country. They should have had better foresight for planning purposes. We all ran around to fill forms, collect all kinds of documents, arrange requisite funds (POF), paid fee to submit impeccable applications and now we have been put on hold with no clear communication and with total disregard to our time, effort and money. When you send an enquiry to VO, you hardlly get a clear and convincing response. Some times it gives an impression that staff at VO don't even read the mail and just send generic replies. Minister Kenny should read comments on this discussion forum to develop an understanding of sufferings, frustrations and hurt feelings of the applicants.

One problem with the analysis, there are only 33K to 36K principal applicants for FSW 1/2 in 2011 not 250K  See the report to parliament for 2011 levels.  http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/publications/annual-report2010/section1.asp#part1_1

Double standard I think they have no standards at all.
When the Post-Feb 2008 team was introduced there were all these NOC there in Pre-Feb2008 applicants but CIC was plain lazy to cull through the application and besides they need new applications (read money). Consider this a doctor who applied in Jan 2008 will be at the end of the queue but a doctor who applied after Feb 2008 will be in the front of the queue. This is bizzare way of doing things.

The Fifth team is on the way Post 26 June with a ticket to bypass all the others right infront of the queue. This is the Canadian way of doing things

When you ask for an update on your case they send a standard reply.... Just wondering are all visa officers uneducated at Canadian visa office who can not read and reply to a letter in plain English such that they have to copy paste standard replies. Anyway they do not allow the applicant to send copy paste of fee.$$

They are well educated, they are just playing with our money , that is all i know. They do not want  to  show responsibility for their written commitment by their minister. Once they collect the fees, they feel safe and keep running their economy with it. That is all i know.

I want to believe that CIC is more interested in the money. I am sure and very sure.

If you dont agree, then tell CIC to sort out all applicants  who applied in 2003-2008 and 2010 and whose occupation are either in the 39 and 29 list.
