Dear Friends,

Just checked the eCas site and found it not working. There is no values in the date of birth drop-down list and with empty values in Place of Birth.

Hope some back-end activity is going on.

Its probably not crashed but might be some updation going on......

CIC already informed abt it.

NOTE: Due to regular maintenance, CIC online services will not be available:


Saturday, May 14, 2011, from 8:00 a.m. EST to 10:00 a.m. EST
Sunday, May 15, 2011, from 12:00 a.m. EST to 6:00 a.m. EST


Lets hope for good news.

well it might be a regular maintenance but I have my doubts ... I never had that problem with that status page b4 ... has anyone faced that problem b4?

also, they started switch to GCMS from CAIPS in summer 2010 and it was supposed to be complete March or April 2011 ... maybe this is a big switch to GCMS after the complete implementation in all visa offices ...

it might be good news for us ... in terms of more detailed status pages at least if not in terms of MR, PPR delivery speed up ...

E-cas is still not showing the birth drop-downs as of 23.40 EST.
Guess they started the maintainence earlier then the 12.00 a.m. time as stated on their website.
