Can any one tell the exact date when Delhi Visa Office stopped taken
Direct P.R. Applications?

Dear Ash,

Somebody mentioned on some other thread on this forum as follows;

" New Delhi Visa office stopped accepting applications directly from 15th April 2009. Now since the process is set, it is taking 4-6 months which will increase depending upon the volume of applications."

I had filed my application of 20th of April-09, would they consider my application as they stop teken application directly after 15th of April-09.

Would they encahsed my p.r. fee draft that is still uncashed.

The application would probably be sent to Sydney, unless the funds where in $R, if not in $C then it will be coming back.

I sent my application under FSW-1 directly to New Delhi CHC on 5th May 05. They returned my packet after 35 days with a letter stating that they have stopped accepting the applications for FSW and it has to goto Sydney. They will send your packet back.
