Thank God, today I finally got my Work Permit for my new employer under LCP. Applied thru online last July 31, 2011 and October 14, 2011 was the issued date on it. It's exactly 75 calendar days. My new employer and me signed 2-year contract but unfortunately CIC applies the 4-year limit plus 3 months. My new WP is not co-terminus with my passport expiry since my passport will expires on 2016. I will be 4 years on January 12, 2013 and my newly issued WP will expires on April 12, 2013.  I hope I can get my OWP/PR within that time. Btw they didn't require me to take medical exams. Good luck to all applicants.

thanks kyrus. so you did all the normal procedure and pay 150 on the spot. and they print the work permit same day. what if renewing wp you think they will process it too. because you went there with your employer right? how long did you wait for all the processing? i cant believe its possible because sending WP to vegreville is such a long wait.

anyways did you apply for PR/Owp already? when? pls share your timeline so we can update the chart.

thanks

I don't think that CIC will send you back home. It says in my newly issued WP that " Eligible to apply for Permanent Residence after completing employment requirements" -and we only need 24 months or 3900 hours to be eligible to apply.
