Hi,
I am starting this new thread to track applications and progress for the applications sent to CIC without the FBI or PCC reports.
If anyone has done this, please share details of your case for others to take the decision of doing so before the nomination expires. Please provide following details.

My doc was also returned with the the check. I forgot to sign in one place and did not write 'PRESENT' in the address's lived section. It was returned with in 2 weeks.
Those who are waiting for FBI certificate, please donot delay till last moment. Atleast keep 2-3 weeks tolerance, in case your application is returned back.

Reason:"We will not accept additional documents until a file number is assigned to you application. Once you receive this file number you may resubmit these documents" But why did they return the documents, they dont usually do that? Did they give a reason for that?

My application reached Buffalo in Late december. I received a letter Dated January 6th asking for I94 copy proving H1b Status. My lawyer thought this to be really weird. We resent the application with the necessary documents and are now waiting for a file number so that we can send FBI and PCC.

Did any one else's application to Buffalo get returned, requesting entry stamps and copy of I94 cards? Please advise.
They requested the following:
Current or expired entry/exit stamps in your national passport
Current or expired status documents indicating the date you were admitted and the validity
I-94 Card
I-797 (for H1-B status)

"Please allow at least 30 weeks between our receipt of an application and its return to you or our sending of the acknowledgment of receipt letter.
Please wait until you hear from us with further instructions and do not contact our office or send in any further documentation during that period."
