Hi All,
We submitted our application last nov 2010, after waiting 13 months CIC send a request for my wife to go to an interview in Trinidad.
During the interview the Officer ask her a few question and then she said "I have information that Money was passed to your sponsor"
My wife was shocked, the officer asked this several time.

Proof:
I submitted over 200 photos, emails, phone bills, Text messages, Skype video screen print and screen print of the chat logs. over $3k in money gram reciept to show proof, i bought her many jewellery. Sent 2 barrels and a box.
Installed internet in my name. Got her a credit card with her name. a Diamond Ring and wedding ring.

End result:
I checked the status on monday it said "inprocess" "decision made" and it changed a day later to "decision made".

Message: A decision has been made on XXX application. The office will contact XXX concerning this decision.

Is this a rejection? i am on edge.

Thanks!

No she didn't get any letter yet she had an interview last month. The status just said decision made, the office will contact her.

The money transfer is monthly support that i sent her every month, I told her don't go back to work because we taught that the process was going to be quick.

BTW. i was divorce for 10 yrs before i met her, we're 7yrs  in age difference.

What the officer said to your wife is an indication of bad news in my view. The message: "The office will contact xxx concerning this decision" probably means that the visa will be denied. My wife's visa was denied and that's exactly what the status report indicated at the time. You have strong pieces of evidence to back up the genuineness of your marriage. I don't know what else they need. Perhaps your wife compromised herself during the interview thus raising the suspicion of the officer. Just a guess on my part.
I hope I'm wrong but if she's denied, you have the option of an appeal. Based on the evidence you have it will be an easy win for you as long as the officer's information is not incriminating.

Obviously Im no expert here, but with all the evidence and the support you are giving your wife, I cant see it being anything but good news, Ive seen people with much less evidence on here get approval. Im keeping my fingers crossed for you.  Smiley

...
No, it doesn't necessarily mean that. My ecas was changed today to "A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision."
I got my passport request a week ago so I know I've been approved.

What visa office are you dealing with?  I would have your wife check her spam folder in her email.  If she was approved she would have the passport request before the e-cas showed decision made.

I don't want to be the bad one, but by the sounds of the interview and if you did not get a passport request, I would start looking for an immigration lawyer or consultant to help you with an appeal.

I really hope that is not the case, you have provided tons of proof, and great proof in my opinion, but who knows what the visa officer saw or interpreted.

Best of Luck!!

What kind of evidence did the VO say he/she had about the applicant paying the sponsor? If the visa is refused, and you appeal, you will get the notes of the interview and will be able to see what made the VO suspicious.

Hi Guys,
I booked an airline for my Wife from Guyana to Trinidad for an interview, so they couldn't request her passport. she had to fly back home.
The Immigration officer, looked at her computer screen and said "i have information here that said money was passed" There is no where she would have any evidence, she was lying. Isn't this fraud? Shouldn't she be fired?

I submitted 2 stacks of evidence, equivalent to 2 packs of letter paper. At the interview, the Officer asked if she could keep the money transfer, additional emails, Text messages and bills. The only this nice the officer said nice was my wife's charm bracelet was nice, otherwise she was expression-less.

Anything if things go south, i'll hire a Lawyer and i take my case to the council and make it a political one. I heard that many the Trinidadian Office is bias against Guyanese.

Thanks guys!

Sounds like the office may have received a "poison pen" letter and was giving your wife a chance to respond to it.  Seems like there is someone out there who is not a fan of your marriage or your wife's application to immigrate to Canada.

If this officer have any "evidence" then she would have to get physical proof. The Trinidadian office is known to conduct illegal business. I intent to take this to the highest level.

No, they don't have to show you physical proof, only give an opportunity to respond to information they've received.
