Chils seats in the taxis?

Hi,

Do the taxis at Toronto Pearson Airport have child seats available? Coz we're not bringing one and I heard that a chlild seat is mandatory for kids.

Yes, The taxi's at the Pearson Airport have baby seats, You need to specifically ask for it since all taxi's wont have it. It wont be a great one but OK

Also in North America..Chile Seats are not mandatory in Taxis.

I used to take my child in Taxi here without child seat....in ur own car child seat is mandatory.....

It is mandatory, see the manual of drive test. They enforce the same in Toronto.  Without it one faces fine + demerit points.

In US, Child Seat is mandatory but Taxi drivers take the risk, if they are stopped by a cop they will be ticketed.

In a taxi or licensed hire car licensed, if the child restraint is not available then the child may travel unrestrained in the rear. This is the only exception of children under the age of 3, and introduced to the process and not for safety reasons. We must always look for ways to make sure that the child seat is available.
