Hi all,
appologies if this has been answered before. I searched the forum but I coudln't find clear answer.

We did our medical examination in July 2011 and we hope to get the request for passports in near future. I assume our visa will be valid till July 2012. We plan to move in April-May 2012 but my 8 months old daughter has her passport valid only untill Jan 2012. My daughter is also in my passport (Slovak) and according to Slovak law she can travel on my passport with me until she is 5 years old. Do you know if Canadian embassy can stamp her visa to my passport? There is no photo of her there, only name, sex and date of birth. Another thing is that she is polish nationality (after my wife) but she has dual citizenship - slovakian and polish as well. Her passport is polish and mine is Slovak. Do you think this complicates the situation even more?

Any help is much appreciated but I would like to hear mainly from those who have perssonal experience with such situation. I know the best is to ask embasy, but they are in Austria and we live in London, UK. They don't answer phones and emails and I don't want to fly there just to ask a question. I know we can apply for a new passport for her, but as I said we live in UK so it will take longer then it would in Poland. In case we receive the request for passport sooner I wonder if her visa can be stamped to my passport... Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi, I got the same situation, mu son is added to her mother passport but he is dual nationality and I am gona submit his American passport for his Visa if granted because as far as I know Canadian immigration require each person must got his own passport. I don't think it will made any complication hence I also sent his information with copy of his US passport when CIC asked me to do along with other documents before we got our medicals.
Best of luck

I dont think they can issue her a visa in your passport, she is required to have her own passport. you might want to cancel her present passport, get her a new one which will have a farther validity date, then attach the old passport to the new passport with some kind of rubber band, and keep presenting them together when required........

Please, do a new passport as soon as possible. I was told to do a new passport. So the earlier the better.

Hope it helps.
