Child citizenship

I  was wandering, i am US citizen now Canadian PR. I have three children, 2 born in the US and 1 born in Canada. I had my Canadian son before getting married to my present husband. Does this means the child was born out of wedlock? if so does this affect his American citizenship because i am about to apply for his US passport. My husband is  a Canadian PR .I read in the US webside that there is certain consideration for child born to a US parent out of wedlock. Thanks in advance

As long as you can prove you are a US citizen and his mother, that is all that really matters. The USCIS is not concerned what citizenship the father has, as long as it can be proven he is your son and you have all the relevant US documents (passport mostly). Ain't nothin to worry about.

The child was born out of wedlock, but it shouldn't have a negative effect. Whether your child acquires U.S. citizenship from you would depend on how long you were residing in the U.S.A. before he was born.

If the child was born in the U.S.A. it is automatically a U.S. citizen and the parent's citizenship is irrelevant.

Or if she is a natural born US citizen.....
