my babyis 9months old and was born in canada therefore she is a canadian citizen and i am going back to work this october and was thinking to send her to philippines and stay with my father until the age of 6 since no one will take care of her since im having a hardtime finding a nanny that i can really trust.

my question is

can it be possible for my daughter to stay in philippines for 6years without coming back to canada?

Yes - your daughter can stay in the Philippines without coming back to Canada as long as she wants to. Because she was born in Canada and is a Canadian citizen, there is no minimum amount of time she needs to live in Canada to maintain her status. She can leave, stay away as long as she wants to and then come back at any time.

No - she won't qualify for the child tax benefit while living outside of Canada.

You mean if the baby will need a visa to stay in the Philippines?  I assume that the baby has dual citizenship and would have equal right to stay in the Philippines as well as Canada but if not, they may need a visa for the baby to stay.

A child born in Canada to any parents except diplomats is automatically a Canadian citizen.  In order to register for Filipino citizenship too, if dual is allowed there, they have to deal with the Filipino government.
