Sanjeevindia thanks a lot for your reply.

But the Checklist that I am following IMM5610E does not list anything about Funds Proof. This is all listing about Ref Letters and other docs.

Please tell which doc u followed where it is shoing Funds Proof whiel sending docs to CHC.

Hi Sharma77,

One question for you about appearance change of minor, do we need to take the kid to passport office or I can go and apply for him as a father, also with appearance are they changing the passport validity as well?

hii Sanju..

I also got new PP for my son due to his appearance change. You have to go to PassPort Officer along with your kid.
PP validity will change and your old passport number will be quoted in new one. Dont forget to take old passport with you because they will put "Cancellation" stamp on it.

I got new PP in Tatkal scheme in 7days but condition was that I should got Police Clearance before applying for new PP.

Getting PCC was very troublesome and it took lot of time, so, it is upto you to apply in Tatkal or general way.

If anyone can manage PCC then Tatkal is of good use otherwise time frame comes to same in both categories.

it depends upon NOC i think. i applied under noc 3112 spl doctor catagory and my case moved like a bulet. TO HELL WITH INDIAN PASSPORT OFFICE (i needed an appeance change for my minor kids passport) wich took 2 months. now i submitted passports today. hope to get visa soon

i fully agree with u on that. i think one IO has been assigned one NOC only. and it seems that more people from my profession, that is Chartered Accountants / Accountants, have applied for immigration than any other profession. but in that case i feel CHC must appoint more than one IO to clear the backlog.
