I applied for student visa on november 29th,2010 for winter term.

CHC-delhi replied me on 23rd Dec,2011 stating that i need to go for additional medicals
i.e. sputum test, re-appearing xray.

So, i didnt had anyother option other than changing my term to summer as winter term was starting on 3rd jan.

I submitted my passport on 16th feb,2011 along with passport and submitted my medicals on 14th march,2011 and till now its "UNDER PROCESSING".

This is crazy, how much time do they need to process. I emailed them on april 1st,2011 and still no reply from.

My summer term will be starting on 3rd may,2011.

Anyone has the similar case.

Congrats for the Indian team winning the world cup. Just wait you may hear soon something about your case. And take some heart by looking at some other asian countries students.

Hi Cooldude10

CHC just wants to be sure that you are in good health to study your course.

My guess is that something might have gone wrong in your med test unknowingly,it doesn't matter sometimes it happens.

you will hear soon from them

there are guys who have got 3-4 times medicals at Delhi in the past one month , so keep ur hopes up  Cool

which state u from?

you can make a case specific inquiry  at  delhi-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca ,

As far as I know  CHC Delhi also deals with meds coming from nepal, bhutan and Pakistan so there are lot of approvals pending from there side ,

consulates ease the traffic of CHC.

All we can do is wait and pray

 Grin

thanks a lot shoaib and obeid for reply.

Regarding re-medicals, i underwent the test chc requested me and all reports are normal.

The concern is that, my term will start on 3rd may, so just worried that i dont get late.
Hoping for best and waiting for worst.

Personally, i feel, they should reply me within the week.

@ obeid, yeh i had emailed them on that id on april 1st and still they haven't replied me.

One more thing, when i was told for re-medicals, i realised that, on that re-medicals form, they had mentioned a VISA NUMBER (there was a seperate application number too), is it common for all who are asked for re-medicals or should i take it as a positive thing that my VISA NUMBER has already been generated.

HI Cooldude10

they will reply soon  Grin

is it specifically mentioned VISA NUMBER ? Well the visa is  issued on the passport, I know that CIC issues file no's starting with

SXXXXXXXXX  "x" represents no's

From what I gather regarding ur case I think it's positive  Grin

yes it's common people are getting re-meds .

There is column for "VISA NUMBER" which starts with STxxxxx
May be thats the common format for those who are requested for re-medicals (not sure)
