Hello Everyone,
My wife received AOR in the mail today dated for April 27, 2010. Not sure why it took so long to show up but I am pleased that it has. Along with the AOR was the supplementary document requirement similar to the SirLanka only form in Part 3 of the country specific application kit.
1 month and 30 days to receive communication from immigration from time letter from CPC-M was received to when AOR was received.
Would be nice if they update the kit to include the form in the future.

Congratz CanPak so now u know ur process is in the queue Thank you bestplace4u. The AOR seems like a generic letter just confirming that they have received application. I feel much better knowing it is in process. My ECAS status still shows Not Available and I am not sure if that will change or not. InshAllah you will receive AOR soon!

I've been reading threads in these forums for awhile now, honestly still can't believe how long it takes just to get a simple AOR letter from Islamabad. I'm sponsoring my wife as well, submitted my application on March 26th, 2010, file was approved and transferred on April 28th, 2010. Coming up on 7 weeks now and nothing, hopefully everyone gets something soon, seems like all of our transfer dates are relatively close.

Thanks Moe The form my wife received with AOR was the supplementary document thats looks to be mandatory. Reading it, it seems to be a summary of the backround declaration we submitted during original filing. They also asked if we have not already done so to send recent contact / photos / bills and stuff so we are gonna take this opportunity to add more recent contact bills and letters to the ones originally sent to support our application more. The letter is a basic template sent to everyone I believe, just personalized a bit with file number and name. I hope this will aid in our application, cuz as everyone else does, I really miss my wife.

Congratulations, CanPak05! Your case is moving forward. Can you please tell what the deadline is for the submission of supplementary doc they have requested with the AOR dated April 27, 2010 that you have received on June 14, 2010? Normally they give 90 days period. I wonder if the Islamabad Office is sending backdated AORs then this delay can jeopardize the due date.

Hi amatullah, Thank you, I spoke to my wife and she informed me the AOR does not state a deadline for the submission of the supplementary form but plans on completing it within the week. She did mention that the letter stated there is a high volume of applicants and the process can take around 9 months, so not to contact them within that period. I pray its sooner than later.

Wow, 9 months from the time they start processing? What exactly are they doing there that it would take 9 months to process an application? Their turn-around times are horrible, can't believe how inefficient they are.

It says 9 months but if u check other people's time line its taking more then that while @ CHCND they are finalizing the cases in few months.

Seems like all cases are random when it comes to processing in Islamabad, I went through a bunch of timelines on another forum and theres no consistency in any of them, some people are approved within 4 months, others are still being processed and already been a year. Surprised how fast CHCND is, I've been following the March applicant thread and people with spouses in ND are already getting their visas issued to them, while all of us who submitted in March are still waiting for AOR letters. Someone honestly needs to take a look at their system in Islamabad and find ways to approve it, I don't see how it takes 9 months or more for: Clerk to look over application to make sure everything is there >> IO to look over application to make sure it is genuine >> background check >> sending letter for PPR request...

Congratz Canpak one question did u check your status by file number your wife received in AOR or by the client ID or receipt number by which you can also check the status of CPCM.

Using both client number and file number my wife received showed the same information on ecas. Client number I use my name as sponsor and birth information. Using file number on AOR I used my wifes name as applicant and her birth information.
