dude, as I mentioned in my previous post- unless we hear it from Sir Jason Kenney himself- all files are going to Islamabad? Ok? i was speaking to my husband the other day n from wht his mp told him only cases with complications go to ottawa but since optimistic2 case has been approved i m guessin its probably gone to Ottawa to cut down on the workload in ISB...which should b good for ppl in isb too rite..win win for everyone...less files in isb to process....faster work

Yes, the CSQ part is quite straight-forward. I had called the office in Montreal, when i was filling my application for Quebec. They mentioned to fill out a kit (non-finanical) found on their website, along with the processing fee ($ 240 i believe). It will need a signature from your wife/husband aswell along with yours on certain undertaking papers. The main aspect is that you have to wait until CIC approves. Meaning, they will send you a letter stating "your approved as a sponser" that email/letter you MUST attach with application. CIC will transfer the file to ISB, however MICC must approve it before, CHC can start their processing. If all papers done correctly, you will get your CSQ in 20 days InshAllah. I filed for my CSQ and recieved the papers in less than 20 days. I hope i answered your question in the correct manner. Hi hubby chubby, I am assuming you are in Quebec so I was wondering if you could clarify Step 1 for me since thats done for you. I mean the CSQ part. My application has been received and it shows on E-cas. Initially i thought CHC-M (or Ottawa) would send me a letter of approval which I would send with the application to MICC and meanwhile the file would be transferred to islamabad.
Or the file is only transfered once MICC also approves? Can you also share your timeline pls? (when you got AOR from CHC-M and when you sent to MICC and their approval and transfer date?)
cheers

LOL. Better yet, who ever gets approved first, the forum gang has to pay for their spouse's arrival ticket haha. I think we should start up a pool and make some friendly wagers as to who will get approved in what time frame. Would really make the long wait a lot more fun

thanks for a quick and detailed reply but i was confused by: "CIC will transfer the file to ISB, however MICC must approve it before, CHC can start their processing." So i m guessing you meant that the file would be transferred as soon as CHC-M approves the case and I can apply for CSQ in parallel. I am asking coz I m going back to KHI in 2 weeks and then would come back after 4 weeks. I wont be able to file CSQ application if I dont get that approval letter by next week. And surly not from Pakistan. So if the file is transferred then I could easily wait till I come back in Sep to Montreal and then apply from here. Yes, the CSQ part is quite straight-forward. CIC (canada) has to spend you a email/ letter regarding your approved first (step 1). Then you can apply to MICC (quebec) for the CSQ (step 2). However, CIC (canada) with still forward your file to CHC (pakistan), that being said MICC (quebec) must accept your undertaking for CHC (pakistan) to start your file process. Now in your case if you recieve a letter from CIC of approval before your two weeks, right away apply for CSQ. Then you can be gone for your trip and you will get your CSQ mailed to you at your home address ( in montreal). Best case scernario for you. If not, come back in september and apply for csq. It takes CHC 6-8 months to open file in ISB anywayz LOL thanks for a quick and detailed reply but i was confused by: "CIC will transfer the file to ISB, however MICC must approve it before, CHC can start their processing."

Hey Honeywell.... it still shows Application Received. I think it takes eCase a few days to update, not sure. Basically, instead of receiving the letter in mail (as other members have reported), I got mine over email as a PDF.

Ok, so I got the *e*mail. Would I get a mail with the letter to be forwarded to MICC or send the application with a printout of this email ? What did you do? CIC (canada) has to spend you a email/ letter regarding your approved first (step 1). Then you can apply to MICC (quebec) for the CSQ (step 2). Hey sha Brtoher, Congratulations upon getting approval! As you know bro you and me have the almost same timeline your application was received on 17 and mine on 18 but I did not get email from them yet What you think will there be any problem with my application? Can you check your status online now? Is that true if you contact CIC Call Centre often they can put your file under the pile and bcoz of that Can you be penalized? I'm really worried now! Thanks in Advance!
