From what I understand, E-cas should update us regarding transfer and reception of our file at ISB. In my case, my file was sent 3 months ago to ISB. However, my ecas isn't showing me anything that would suggest that my file has "successfully" reached ISB.
For example; 1) We received your application ****
                  2) We sent you a letter on *** ( this are under "decision made")
3)Applicants filed received and medical received *** (under permanent residence sub-heading)
This statements were present ever since I got my UCI. Nothing has changed. I don't know if takes more than 3 months for ecas to update themselves....

Now nothing will change unless u dun get ur remed..uve to see this status fir the next 8 9 months or unless they don't send u remed..so no need to wry abt ur file..it's with them already n I dunt thnk they are answerable to each n every query of urz..n why wud they tell u tht ur file was well received with full protocol on the airport n high security alert was also on..cumon....relax n wait for updated info request or remed after 7 8 months frm now on..or maybe at least 6 months..n if ur Nikah case only then it will take more time..Nikah cases are nt dealt with simplicity rather doubtness

Yes, I think most of the people are Rukhsati cases.

I am going in december for Rukhsati ... I dont think it will make any difference now ... I should have done Rukhsati.

If u dunt do rukhsati then ur case gona be handled with doubts n delays for sure...do ur rukhsati before december if possible coz othriwse it will delay ur cases n majority ppl almost 97% have done their rukhsati before applying or right aftr applying coz Nikah only cases delay timelines n can be put in interview que..n it can then take more than 21 months...so do ur rukhsati ASAP...rest if u just them to play with u then it's ur choice...they gonna play Tom n Jerry with u n then u gonna curse them..so do ur rukhsati..

Ok finally after many attempts i got in touch with CIC call center agent. she told me that My file is approved and is transferred to "Ottawa pilot project" in Ottawa. I think they are sending many new cases to Ottawa rather then Islamabad. she said that if they feel its needed then they will send it to Islamabad. Hope inshallah step 2 goes smooth.
I still have no status showing on the website and the strange thing is that they did send me an email on July 11 but i havent recieved any email not even in my junk folder though they have my right email address i doublechecked with the agent. wierd eh.

Thanks!
.this is exactly what happrbd to me it was sent to ottawa but no email anyways hope it will be faster for us Smiley

 @   kman..
Who said tht the file won't be transferred to isb?Huh Huh.....wat a nice joke..tht means if they need to call some applicant for interview or if they want to do some background check on applicants or nythng else they will call ur wifes n hubands to ottowa to see them..wow...hw can u thnk tht ur file won't reach in isb...all visas r issued frm isb nt frm ottowa..rest if u wana dream abt it then keep on dreaming..
Gud luck...

dude.. you need to chill out... as per the original poster, only "straightforward" cases are being nominated for the Ottawa pilot project. However, if Ottawa feels they need more information, etc. they will transfer file to ISB. I never said the visa is issued from Ott. I only said, if the processing is completely handled in OTT (for "straightforward" cases), then we MIGHT just see the day when visas were issued within 10/12 months.

Hope for the best...

I heard that the file went to Ottawa, to the pilot project for the first step, but was eventually transferred to CIC-ISB for phase 2 of the application.
Are the files being processed in their entirety in Ottawa now? If so, I wonder how much faster these applications will be processed as compared to the applications sitting, collecting dust in the CIC-I office.

Hey shaikh. So your file is in ISB as well ?? Apparently some ppls are going to ottawa. its something new and unheard of.

Sorry guys for creating mass confusion... below is the original quote from Optimistic2... as can been noted, the call center agent mentions many new cases are being sent to OTT for processing and if needed then they send file to ISB... i have no idea what that actually means, but reading between the lines, it seems like if it's a full rukhsati with complete documentation, hence "straightforward", and CIC deems no further documentation is required from the applicant, they might just issue the visa without further headaches. Once again, this is MY theory and nothing official.

Optimistic2, if I misunderstood your post, please clarify...

Who knows? Unless we hear it from the horses mouth (Sir Jason Kenney) its all hearsay as far as I am concerned..

Hey Kman

Although my case is straight forward as many of us have here but you never know whats gonna happen. we can only hope inshallah it will go smooth in less time. I have shown all proofs of Nikah, rukhsati and Valima with medical sent already. the lady did tell me and I quote "If needed we will send it to ISB" but again this is a call center, I am sure if I call in today which I will, I might get some other answer. the only thing which I know for sure is that by dividing cases in to multiple Visa offices will definitely reduce the timeline for both ISB and Ottawa and we have seen that Mashallah people are getting response in less time then the cases in 2010. One of my friends case is just completed in 11 months  from ISB though it was 22 months when he applied. Inshallah its gonna get better this year.

Thanks!
