Anywhere from 10 months to 26 months - Think of it as a normal distribution; 10 and 26 are roughly the extremes of the bell curve, I'm not sure of the standard deviation though

I called today and the agent told me that we should use the date quoted as frame of reference. 82 days indicates the average processing time. So right now they are processing February 29th application. I don't know how many more weeks it will take for march 15th application to be processed. This is so frustrating.

Hey Optimistic,

that is weird man, they should have replied.
One thing is that I sent the email to this addy:

bob.dechert   @   parl.gc.ca

Try sending the email to that addy and wait a day.
If you dont receive a reply, call their office, the secretary will pick up the phone, jsut tell her that you sent an email and were wondering if the MP received it. She will look at it then and let you know that she will get back to you or something.
But fwd the email to the above email first.
If that doesn't work then call his office   @   (905) 897-1952

I finally got a call from MP office yesterday. he asked me to send him my Pay stub, tax returns for the last year and Invitation letter and then they will issue me the letter of recommendation. i will send all this information in couple of days inshallah. the statistics that he told me are bit discouraging when it comes to visit visa. he said that out of last 40 applications from thier office only 1 got the visit visa  but i am still optimistic inshallah something good will happen. though the immigration process is getting much more faster now from Pakistan and in last few months most of the cases are completed within 12-16 months and it will go down more thats what he said.

rite-of-Spring... don't count the days otherwise you will lose your mind because once the file transfer to CHC-I than the waiting game will begin....

Hey guys. Quick Question. CIC emailed me may 17th 2012 stating file is transfered to ISB. However, to this date, nothing on ecas that confirms that my file is actually in ISB. Just says "decision made" and "permanent residence recieved".? Any clarification or help will be greatly appreciated.
