Hello Danny Brother, I have a question from you... My wife currently lives in Faisalabad since I got back to Canada. We got married in October and after marriage her National Identity Card (Shanakti Card) and her passport was issued from Rahim Yar Khan along with her PCC issued from district Police Office in Rahim Yar Khan. Now I'm wondering I'm going to visit my wife next year in April and when they ask me for Re-PCC again hopefully in April. Should it be issue from Faisalabad or from Rahim Yar Khan?

The PCC will have to be issued from Faisalabad. She can update the address on her NIC now and when she needs a PCC she can get it form the faisalabad district. Also, she should update her address with CHC-Islamabad. For that she will need to write a letter of address change and sign it. She can send it by TCS with her info and file number on the letter. Otherwise if CHC-Islamabad will send everything on the old address if its not updated.

I myself am in the process of awaiting the verdict of our TRV application. We are 42 days in, usually takes 70-90 days to get a response.

After extensive research, I included the following in my application:

Completed forms
A notarized letter of invitation
A notarized copy of my passport
A letter from my employer stating my salary and position.
A bank statement which shows >$10k in my bank account
Travellers insurance I bought for the time my wife will be visiting me
A letter which shows how much my household income is
A letter from my MP which supports my case, a letter which he forwarded to High commissioner of Canada to Pakistan Ross Hynes on our behalf.
~100 Pictures from our wedding maiyoon mehndi shadi ruksati walima functions
~70 pictures from our honeymoon
E-tickets and boarding passes from our honeymoon
Copy of the invitation card from our wedding
All receipts from our wedding
All receipts from honeymoon
Copy of our marriage certificate and notarized translation
A letter from her parents giving her permission and giving me temporary custody of her (wife is <18)
Bank statement from her fathers account showing >10k canadian dollars
School letter stating that she needs to be back in school in september and that her fees are paid for next year
Copy of her birth certificate
Her police clearences
Copy of her medical which we did for the spousal sponsorship
My tax assessment and T4
An affadavit signed by me and an oath taken infront of a lawyer that I will take her complete financial responsibility during her visit and will send her back and that she needs to start school...
A copy of the CanadaPost slip which states that I have sent the spouse sponsorship application
A copy of the tracking information which states that the application was received in mississauga on Feb 27th
2 Passport sized photos of my wife
A letter of intent stating that she needs to visit me because my vacation days are exhausted at work. And spending time apart is very hard and strenuous on our marriage.

People on that thread got their passport's back with a VISA, but a lot of people have been getting rejections recently as well. So its really a hit/miss.

So I contacted my MP and I live in Milton; I called and left a message but no one responded so I sent him an email with all my hostory and why I need my wife here sooner... They just sent me an email saying "sorry we can't help since its a federal thingy but you should contact your MP" which I have done as well lets see. The reason I wrote them this letter was becasue my mother is sick and I need my wife to come support me. Let's see no harm trying right. May Allah make this time easier for us all... I am sure there is some good in this waiting only he knows.

For all the guys who want to apply for the TRV, the golden rules are that you need to convince the Visa Officer of the following 4 things -

1- Your marriage is legitimate
*To prove this attach all documents from shadi,honeymoon etc, basically everything u put in your sponsorship application.

2- Your are able to financially support your wife when she is in Canada
*Show your household income, your income, your bank statements, your wifes bank statements, salary stubs, your tax assessment, T4, her fathers bank statements. The rule here is that your wife should have access to 10k for every month she is in Canada visiting you. Show this money

3- Your wife will return to Pakistan.
*Discuss the dates on arrival, departure, flight#'s, length of stay, what you intend to do, purpose of visit, where she will be staying etc. If your wife works, then show documentation to prove that she works and she needs to be back in a certain period of time. If she is in school, show that her school fees are paid and get a letter from the principal showing that she needs to be starting school at a certain date. If she doesnt work or go to school, then show that she has assets in Paksitan, if she doesnt have any assets, then show her family assets, which prove that she is well established in Pakistan.

4- Your wife will not become a burden on Canada in any way shape or form
*Get travellers insurance for the same time period that she will be visiting. Outline what your finances and expenditures will look like during her visit, what you guys expect to spend, where you plan to visit. Explicitly state that you will be taking full responsibility of her financial needs during her visit in a notarized document. (mobile notaries/lawyers take $10 to notarize documents, they will come to your house or meet you in a public place) Notarized documents really gives that added touch of seriousness and authenticity to your claims.

My friend, your MP will do it for you. Just ensure that when they do contact you, you ask for a letter directly directly towards High commissioner of Canada: Ross Hynes.
He will ask you for some sort of proof of your marriage, as my MP's office did. Just send them a picture from each of your wedding ceremonies.
Takes them a few days to draft the letter, and then you can pick it up.

I agree, we should always be thank-full to Allah SWT. However, I also believe that we should strive when faced with difficult circumstances. If it is good for us, it will happen, however if its not good for us, it wont. Allah-hu-Alim. Whats important is that you tried.

Hey Sdfr,

the UCI # which is in the format ####-#### is attached to the sponsor.
The file # with the format F######### is attached to the applicant.
So when you login using the File#, select
Immigration File# under Identification type and then enter your wifes last name/DOB/Country of birth.

Hey Danny Brother thanks for your helpful reply... Actually she lives in a Village in Faisalabad and they have no house no# there. That's why I gave CHC- Islamabad the mailing address for the city where I was Born and raised and my uncles, aunts and Grandpa and Grandma live there.
Let's say If she does not update her address on her NIC Now and next year CHC-Islamabad asks for RE-PCC again, and we can have it issued from the same district Police Office in Rahim Yar Khan.

1. Will Canadian High Commission Islamabad Accept it or Reject it? and 1 more thing on her IMM0008 Form UNDER CONTACT INFORMATION

1. Current Mailing Address as KhanPur, District Rahim Yar Khan ( Same Mailing Address on her NIC CARD)

2. Residential Address as Faisalabad (where she is currently present)

2. Will that cause any problem for her in the Future?

ok, before i was only able to use the UCI number to see what was happening...

but since yest, i have been able to log in using the file # and my wife's info, and it shows her address in there... however, it only reads like the sponsor's ecas for her "we have received your file on Mar 7, 2012"...

me being able to sign in through the file # is that an indication that the file is now in chc-isl in the waiting line... or nothing to it....

yar i was gonna ask, have you confirmed this through a lawyer if that is a doable thing, to go for a visit visa for spouse, also especially once we have filed for their permanent residence... I have heard from a few that if their visit visa gets a cancellation, it may have an effect on the decision for sponsorship process...
