Hi

Welcome to the forum !

Currently they are working on Aug - Oct 2010 file transfers. People whose files were transferred in these three months are now receiving requests for IMM Forms, Re-PCC and Re-Medical respectively.

IMM Forms: They ask the applicant to fill out these forms for updated information.
Re-pcc: They ask for an updated police clearence certificate.
Re-medical: Usually the medicals are expired by this time so they ask for Re-medicals.

They usually do the initial review of the application after 9-10 months of the file transfer. So it looks like they won't review your daughter in law's file till March 2012. Meanwhile, ask your son to keep collecting proof of communication with his wife; i.e. phone bills/logs, emails, chat, video chat logs/screen shots, money transfer receipts/funds transfer. If he visits his wife this year or early next year, than their photos together, his boarding passes, entry/exit stamps, restaurant bills etc. Basically anything that would make them believe that the couple is in contact which shows the genuinity of relationship. He can send the proof voluntraily by Jan 2012, or wait till they ask for it. Some people send it voluntraily, some don't, so its totally his call.

Hope it helps Smiley

I don't think theres much left after what i mentioned earlier. This much proof is more than enough as a recent contact proof.

There is another list that i posted a few months back that i submitted as marriage proof. Let me find and repost it.

I don't have the list with me but from what i remember this is what i sent them as supporting documents:

1) Engagement pix .. (Pix with my mom since I came back to Canada even before the Rishta was fixed)
2) My boarding pass from the earlier trip.
3) Email snaps and some detailed emails from the time of engagement till the wedding ( I didn't care about the privacy, wasn't really too private either as i rarely knew her)
4) Mehendi pix from both Mehendis
5) Nikkah Pictures (Signatures from both sides)
6) Group photos from the wedding (both families and close relatives marked)
7) Reception pix
Mehendi / banquet hall/ recption hall reciepts
9) Cohabitation pix
10) My whole family's boarding passes along with my own boarding pass.
11) Facebook status for both. Facebook profiles showing that we are husband and wife (Social proof)
12) Phone and text history since we got engaged
13) Wedding Invitations from both sides
14) Money Transfer Receipts.

I might have missed something but someone who's wife was already here before my wedding gave me a list of supporting documents he submitted. So I thought I should share it with the rest of you so those who are about to apply can add it to their list which would make it easier for them.

Wonderful and amazingly prompt response from members specially Danny450 and bestplace4u. Thank you very much. We did send
1 pictures of both families, ring ceremony, reception, stage photos, gifts, hall pictures, phone records, text message record, hall receipts etc. passport entries/exit stamps. Insha Allah further records are in place when asked for
I am apprehensive about long processing times in chc islamabad. USA immigration equally slow but UK gives you spouse visa in 12 weeks.
WHAT ARE YOUR VIEWS WHY THERE IS SO MUCH VARIATION ON HUSBAND SPONSOR AND WIFE SPONSOR CASES AND SOME APPLICANTS GET VISA MUCH EARLIER THAN OTHERS.

WHAT ARE YOUR VIEWS WHY THERE IS SO MUCH VARIATION ON HUSBAND SPONSOR AND WIFE SPONSOR CASES AND SOME APPLICANTS GET VISA MUCH EARLIER THAN OTHERS.

Wife cases (i.e. sponsored by husbands) that are straight forward are being completed in 14-16 months after the file transfer while husband cases (i.e. sponsored by wife) that are straight forward are being completed in 18-20 months. Wife cases are faster due to quicker background checks. Usually women in Pakistan are not too involved in politics and milltary, thus it takes less time for clearence. Also, most of the women don't really have extensive business/work/job history. This is why their background checks take less time compared to men. But in both cases, they open the file for initial review after 10-12 months of the file transfer. Once the process starts, it takes anywhere from 4 - 10 months to complete.

Some applicants get Visa earlier than others because of a few factors:

1) Strength of the Case (Full Wedding with lots of proof and relationship history have more chances to get the Visa earlier than Nikkah only cases as they usually get an objection letter and are asked to complete Rukhsati)
2) Visa officer (Some Visa officer are quicker than others and don't delay the case unnecessarily compared to others)
3) Pure luck ! (prayers do wonders)

Also, there is a priority factor as well but its very rare. There were a couple of cases on this forum who got the Visa in 12 months in 2010 and from what i know, the sponsor herself was an immigration officer at a Canadian airport.

You can fax that letter if you have applied 9-10 months ago and are soon to be done your initial review. This way it won't take as much time to correct your address. It was completely their mistake in my address as well, but you can't do anything about it rather than writing them a letter sign it and either mail or fax it to CHC. You have to write your name, DOB and File number on the letter, otherwise they wouldn't correct it.

The format of the letter could be like this:

Name:
DOB:
File #:

Subject: Correction of Address

To Whom It May Concern:

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing in regards to a mistake on my current address that appears on E-case. The address that appears is as follow:

124 XYZ Street, Block "A'
Cityville, Pakistan

The Correct address is as follows:

123 XYZ Street, Block "A'
Cityville, Pakistan

Please make a note of it on your side.

Thank you,
Your Name
Signature

For my wife E-Cas (using her file #) is showing my address in Canada even that is not right.  I am gonna send them a letter now. so dumb can't even copy simple things.
