Wife got her remed done, they're going to send the results. Anyone know how long it takes them to get results to the visa office? InshAllah now its just a matter of 2-3 months more wait till she gets visa.
Funny thing my wife noticed was that all the other girls there (3/4 of them) also had their name starting with Zainab. Maybe they go in a alphabetical order from the first name?

I think something is going on here. I see at least 12-13 people who got a medical and passport request late last week. I was one of them, my wife had her interview waived, no police verification, just a remedical and passport request.
This means for some reason, a large batch of applications were being held, and suddenly released.
Another thing I notice is that earlier, people would get a remedical request, send in the medical results, and after 1-2 months, would get a passport request, where as now, the trend is to send in both documents together.
In any case, seems like there is some traction now.

yes mine was a full wedding nd first medical date is 25 June, 2011 |

She only got remed request. She even got repcc and was asked to send nika nama again, from union council this time. But we couldn't find the stupid union council so she's sending her Urdu original which has the union council stamp. Hope they won't mind. |

oh ok - in your earlier post you asked about how long it takes for medical results to be received by CHC - so it takes approx one week for new delhi to get results and then from there it takes about 10-15 days to update. In my case it took 20 days as my husband got medical done on June 8th and results were updated June 28th. Still no PPR yet  .. it's good that you have a 2-3 timeline in your mind - this way hopefully you won't be disapointed - I had the same timeline in my mind until this other forum member's husband got PPR 3 days after medical results were updated and his timeline was literally identical to my husband even before the PPR and that really got my hopes up. So each say seems disapointing now even though originally I had thought to myself 2-3 months. Anyhow it's all up to God.. nothing we can do or say can change the process - but point it is it good to have little expectation and this way you are not disapointed.  She only got remed request. Thank you again Zainab, you're a life saver! I already got a Certified English Translation done, ill have her take both the Urdu original and certified copy to Foreign ministry to get it attested and stuff as you said. Hi Everyone;
I know my question is not party of this discussion, but a great place to get ideas ..
long story short....
I got engaged and her sponsorship application is in process.
Honestly, she is amazing person and love me alot, but I never had the same feeling toward her from first day I met her till now.
I am busy guy with work and school and when my parent went back home, she propose this girl form and asked me to come and see her.BTW I never mention anything that I will get marry,but my parent thought that this girl is prefect for me....
I went there for a week and they already invited people for my engagement party. I couldn't able to back up because it was hard for both my parent and her family...BTW I never had any close relationship with her during my one week stay there..I act as friend that is all...
Now the application is in process. I did sponsor her because I don't want her to become a joke in back home and on the other hand, I am not ready for partnership life.... I just got admission to med school and love to pursuit it...
Any suggestion that can keep both world happy........

Yes as far as what the instructions say, you have to send the original. Original with certified English translation. Hi Everyone;

If you are a Muslim, then I seriously suggest you do Istikhara. If you want best solution, it should be one that is not only good for this world but for the hereafter. And there is a verse in the Quran which speaks about how you may not like a thing but that it is good for you and yet you may like a thing but it is bad for you. You should share your true feelings with that person face to face. It may hurt them, but the pain will be a lot less than for them to build that bond with you and then you cut off the relationship afterwards. Besides that, its just a engagement right now, would you rather tell her your true feelings after having consummated marriage? Which would be worse for her (especially if she is a South Asian girl). hope this helps. |

I agree with that I was there too. One of Zainab's went after me. I am sure it was alphabetical order as my name is Yasir  |
