everyone sayin that nikah cases get delayed really scares me out, bcz i had complete marriage but i do not have walima pics, and in the form where there was a question for reception i wrote that we had dinner with family and close friends, i did not mention that we do not have walima pics , i just sent around 20 pics of nikah day but nikah day was a great function and i sent pics with family and friends. i didnt go for honeymoon with my husband because of lack of time, and i had only 1 pic with my husband after marriage at a restaurant which i sent them, so i sent around 20 pics of nikah and 1 pic after shadi. now i am worried that i dont get objection for walima pics mine was love marriage and r relation b4 marriage was since 2005, i sent some proofs and emails of before marriage also, can any senior advise me anything on it please that my relationship would look genuine to isb? I didn't have reception/walima either but my relationship with my spouse was declared genuine by the immigration officer(s). Heck i didn't even have any rukhsati pictures either. But I did mention in the sponsored person questionnaire that I lived with my spouse for a week, i.e. our marriage was consummated. Regarding reception, I said that it will be held when my wife gets her visa; and for honeymoon I gave the same excuse as yours. As long as you can prove to CHC that your relationship is genuine and that marriage was consummated, there shouldn't be any problems. If yours is a pure Nikkah case then I wish you best of luck but chances of objection are greater with Nikkah only cases, or atleast that is what i've observed over the last 7 or 8 months. Perhaps you can plan a rukhsati anytime soon? what is your timeline anyways?

InshAllah I will be starting the sponsorship process for my hubby as well..Before I begin, I was wondering if its more preferable to do the immigration process through a lawyer? Does it help make your file more legitimate and speed up the process? InshAllah Allah(SWT) will help us reunite with our spouses veryy soon A lawyer or immigration consultant CANNOT speed up the application process nor can he/she give your file a greater legitimacy if he/she forwards it to CHC. You can go through the entire process on your own. I recommend it. There is some investment of time and effort required since you have to fill out quite a number of forms, gather proofs, basically prepare the entire application package on your own. But the investment is totally worth it.

Anyone NOT get repcc with meds?
They usually don't ask for PCC again if the applicant is a wife.

I heard some members didn't update or show on their ecas before they got visa. So don't worry about it. InshaAllah you will get passport back with visa stamped this month.

I wouldn't worry too much - however you should send them an e-mail to inquire - maybe they sent you something and God forbid it got lost in the mail - so do inquire but as far as comparing your case with others - as much as we all do it there is no point in it because different visa officers are handling the cases and each has a different working style from the other.. Any how this is how the address can be changed:
address changes are not accepted by email, see below:
Please send us a signed fax or a signed letter (see fax number and address below) with the following information:
your original request to change your mailing address, the full name of applicant and original signature, the applicant's date of birth, the file number [letter followed by a nine-digit number], telephone number, including area code, fax number, including area code, the mailing address, and a return fax number and/or e-mail address (if available) Please do not send any new address information by email. As we require your signature on this information, kindly note that your current mailing address stands unchanged and this email has been deleted.
Thank you for your reply. Which of the following is the correct fax #: 92 51 208 6900 92 51 208 6913
