CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2011 -2012

I wanna invite my husband to visit me in canada. what should i write in the invitation letter so that the Visa officer is convinced that the purpose of the visit is genuine and temporary? can anyone who applied and got a visit visa please help me out, thanks

Yes i applied for a visit visa in April 2011 and my husband send me an invitation letter but they refused me stating these three reasons:
1) your travel history
2) immigration status
3) purpose of visit
After that we applied for the Spouse Immigration.
The main reason is that VO is not convinced that the visitor will leave Canada at the end of the visit visa.

and it was updated jan 2011...so for now i'll stick to 12 months

Any idea which months cases they are working on and at what speed? When should we the Jan/11 cases should expect updates? I did got a query (saying in order to continue working on your case we need following infomration....) regarding my case a month back, which gives me a feeling that they have started working on it. Any comments/experieneces?

Asif bhai, you received an AOR?? I heard that ISB stopped sending AORs after oct 2010. I havent received an AOR yet...

Currently they are working on Sept/Oct 2010 files and those applicants have started to receive requests for rePCC and IMM forms. Did you receive that request? If so I guess they have started working on Nov/Dec 2010 files which is a good sign. They are picking up the pace finally...

Mississauga..still working on July 11 files......its been more than 63 days since my file's there.......how come they say 63 days......

missingmyjaan, no i have not recieved AOR, but since I can see my file recieved via ECAS so I considered it to be recieved.

wes786, sorry for the confusion. I have not recieved any rePCC or IMM request, All that I have recieved is a query about one of my kid PR-status. I feel that since I applied for a TRP which got rejected and they mentioned that since PR case is in progress so it is in my best intrest to avail that instead of TRP. So, probably it has triggered some processing on my ccase...

No, i haven't got my file number. Infact i tried to check it online through IMM5401 receipt no. but it says no record found.
