Do remember people in your prayers who are still waiting for longer. I know a member who is waiting since 2007, there is one member waiting since 2008, a few from 2009 and quite a few from early 2010 as well. My wife was a Mar2010 AOR and she just received her VISA end of August I am glad it ended for us and hope you all get through this soon as well.

I have submitted some pics with family and friends of the nikah ceremony.
There was a reception for about 70 people.
Will it be enough to prove that our marriage was genuine?

Depending on the officer looking at your file and the other evidence you have sent along with the application...How much contact proof have you sent i.e. phone call logs, emails, chats, visit proof if any, gift receipts, fund transfer receits etc...Pictures before and after wedding with family and friends, honeymoon and other outings...

Mine is only nikah case.
yes my hubby has sent the phone logs and he visited Pak for nikah. We are both first cousins and we know each others family very well. My inlaws are also Canadian nationals.

Mine is only nikah case.
yes my hubby has sent the phone logs and he visited Pak for nikah. We are both first cousins and we know each others family very well. My inlaws are also Canadian nationals.

Most of the Nikah cases have received objections saying that the marriage is not genuine, however, if you guys have sent enough evidence to convince the officer that your marriage is real and not for the purpose of immigration then you are good. Alot of people who received objections had to go back and perform Rukhsati, walima and provide them with the pictures and proofs so be prepared for anything. Keep updating them with your continious ongoing contact details such as phone call logs.

CIC - Mississauga is still working on July 11 application and timeline increased to 63 days  ..... hope to get approval next week InshaAllah

Well lets stay positive and say that they might reduce the timeline from being 24months to 12 months InshAllah. My wife's case took 19 months and I know how terrible that wait was, so I sincerily hope all the new applicants don't have to wait that long.
