and secondly, when the status says in process, does it mean that backgroud checks are over?

Also, they have mentioned that they will be sending remed, but my first medical expired on 17th June 2012, and how about the new medical rule ? or is it just a generic reply that they have sent me?

All of you who have received request for RE Meds or to submit forms and more pics again.. your wait should be over soon inshAllah
because My husband received his first correspondence from CIC in March 2012.. and Alhamdullilah he received his visa on June 15th..
before this request for letters n all.. CIC had never contacted us.. this was their first correspondence... after which our online status started updating and our address appeared etc..

So just keep praying and hopefully the whole thing shouldnt take more than 3 months now for you inshAllah Ameen

Ironically, they send requests and remeds by regular mail.. by the time my husband got it.. 15 days had already passed.. :S but anyways.. u should be getting it soon.. as long as the status is concerned.. yes.. it means they have done the checks on their part.. now if they need more info from you. that wil be included in the requests.. Just like when we applied we only had our nikkah done so we had only submitted the pictures from our Nikkah.. so in the re meds n request. they also asked us if we had had our rukhsati yet or not.. if yes, they asked us for more pics from valima and rukhsati etc..and proof of my visits to my husband n all. and the letter also said.. if you have not had the rukhsati yet.. what are your plans.. and in case we reject your file.. what will happen to this wedding and this relationship..
luckily, we had had our rukhsati and had several pics and proof.. including my pregnancy reports.. so we sent them everything.. from there on it took about 3 months for my husband to get his visa

they also replied me dt they are going to send remed in coming days on 5th April 2012,,but i received it on 24th april.in my case they took almost 20 days.

Awwww you are a sweetheartttttttt I got so happyyyyy the moment I read your post . I emailed them regarding status update and got automatic reply that I will hear from them within 15 days. I will order CAIPS too. Thank you so much 

I think my dear ..that you should order those CAIPS or gcms notes( after all it help several other people of this forum to get the status of their application)..to know what is going on?...As this is your nikkah case ,I think they might be working on ur case to find out if this is genuine or not...though  according to my observations here they should have contacted u for more proofs or any other thing they wanted out..but still i suggest u to order those notes...which i think might be helpful to you get a relief

i don't know what to advise you but i would like t share our experience .My husband got the request on 6th of june and and he should have done the re-medical before 15th of june ,,well after contacting to both the doctors in karachi he got the earliest appointment available on 21st of june so what we did ,that we sent an email and a letter too  to CHC islamabad explaining the situation and to let them know that we are trying hard to get an appointment earlier but unfortunately ther is no earliest date available(by the way we have attached the scanned copy of an envelope dates stamped on it as a proof that when we recieved it). we request them to acknowledge this as our interest of getting re-medical done and also ask them to advise us if this is not acceptable.Till now we did'nt get any complains and are hoping that will not get any in future as well Ameen!

I hope this helps but still if u need to done it quickly u could have other options to comply with .Inshallah everything will be ok!

Thank you so much for the reply.. so that's mean he doesn't have to do medical within the given timeframe.. he can simply inform CHC-I via email about his late appointment date and they will be ok.. hmmm

he got a letter for IMM forms and it was issued on May 6th (or around that date)

is it a good idea to get an appointment for remed now? cuz i noticed some ppl r struggling to get an early appointment and my husband mentioned it's hard  to get an appointment within the 30 days time limit given to submit ur re-med.... any opinions?

i have some questions that i got my re medical request stamped on my pic in the medical form on 18 May but on the envelop stamped 23 May for export n i got it 6 jun n i did my medical test on 8 June then the doctor sent it to New Dehli i dont know how long will it take there ?? which date do the CHC count it ( the May 18 or 23 ) ?? do the CHC count the test time finish or the receiving result time to CHC?? cuz i am worry abut it plz let me to know abut it thanks

my husband case is also from afg... and he went to pakistan to post everything to embassy from gerry box because DHL and fedec does not accept P.O box.. there fore i will recommend u to send to embassy from pakistan through gerry box and they will give u a number where u can check ur case status too

I need a quick information. I was about to apply for GCMS notes for my wife, her file was transfered in Islamabad in last week of February, 2011. Now, she got re-medical letter. Earlier, I applied for GCMS notes about 2 months back and it helped me a lot, but I was not able to find bring forward date in them. If any one knows, where I can find bring forward date on GCMS notes.

Today, I will apply again for GCMS notes for a soft copy to be received by mail, but not sure if GCMS notes got bring forward date or not. I need advice, should I check both GCMS and CAIPS? Is there BFD information in CAIPS? Or can I receive CAIPS by mail too?

I am applying only to see the BFD of my wife's file. Your quick suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!

yes, i would book an appointment because its really v hard to get appointment.. appointments can be rescheduled.
