CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2011 -2012

Hello everyone,

I applied in Feb 2011. I received a letter in mid March 2011 regarding the sponsorship application status stating that I was approved as a sponsor. The "Sponsorship Application Status" on the cic website shows the following for me.

Decision Made
We received your application to sponsor XXXX on February 24, 2011.
We started processing your application on March 23, 2011.
We sent you a letter on March 23, 2011 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

The "Permanent Residence Application Status" on the cic website shows the following for me.

Application Received
We received XXXX application for permanent residence on April 1, 2011.

This hasn't changed since April 2011. In the last week of April 2012, my wife received a letter from the Islamabad office saying that they wanted more information like phone bills, detailed evidence of the any visits, etc + one immi form. She sent these to them in the first week of May.

Any comments on how much more time/where does my case stand as of now?

Hi guys..

I wanted to ask.. has anyone else had JUSt the Passport request.. I mean our Re med request came in April 2012.. we sent the Re Med on April 3rd.. waited all this while and finally on May 24th, received the PPR and sent the passport the same day..
the letter that had the PPR said " your immigration visa is ready for issuance"..

We were hoping it wont take too long after that since they only have to stamp the visa and send it now..

Any ideas as to how much longer its gonna take?. I mean they received the Passport on May 28th..
I just hope it doesnt take as long as it took for Remeds n all

hello...you will probably get a remed request or a remed request with ppr ie passport request..i hope you get these soon, once this is done you will get the visa..how long its gona take is upto CHC-I....but from people's experiences anywhere from 2-6 months i think..all the best

I have been following this forum for the past year or so and finally I have decided to post few questions -
I have applied for my wife in May 2010 -

Sponsorship status - decision made -
We received your application to sponsor NAME on May 26, 2010.
We started processing your application on June 25, 2010.
We sent you a letter on June 25, 2010 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Permanent Residence Application Status ( In Process )
We started processing Name application on July 24, 2010.
Medical results have been received.

Late last year we received a letter to provide more proof as we didn't had the rukhsati done. So we sent substantial amount of proof and then earlier this year (January-ish) received a 2nd medical request. Ever since my wife have sent the medical tests, we have not heard anything at all.

Can anyone of you let us know the timeline we are looking at, or will there be any further complications.

Did you try emailing CHC-I to inquire about the status of your application? if not you can email them and ask where your case stands

No need to worry.. They will take 2-3 weeks with the passport and stamp the Visa.. so the Visa should come by June 15th InshaAllah

Keep looking for Decision made on E-case and the address updated as "Canadian City, Province" .. When you see these meaning Visa is stamped. My wife got her Visa the same day it changed.

Address on ecas is the Canadaian address.

You have to log into E-case using the File number starting with F and the info of the person being sponsored.. thats where you will see the "In Process" and Pakistani mailing address..

When Visa is stamped, there is an addition of Canadian city and province on the left side and the Pakistani mailing address moves to the right.

might mean something coz my address never showed up on ecase and yesterday it just was there..same day got letter from CHC asking for forms, RPRF etc...hope u hear something soon too inshallah..keep praying all the best

it all depends on VO and what he thinks should be the right time

what is the difference between b and f on the file number... is b when its sitting idle, and changes to f when it gets touched or process begins at the chc-isl...
