you are september applicant and i m too then why didnt i get anything from them...my ecase still shows application received... thats bizarre...whats their rule of working? they just work on whatever file they want

when do they start background checks?? Is it after you receive your AOR from Islamabad

Also if you have received an AOR from Islamabad does that mean that initial review on the file has been done?? or the initial review starts after you receive the AOR

The case goes in to inprocess when everything on the case is done except security checks ? Am i right ? I have seen GCMS note of members with and without in process ...this is the difference i could find ! Please correct me if I'm wrong !

salam everyone... need help!! we applied via a consultant and all the fee was paid through him..my husband did not get a receipt from our consultant..now i was reading through the forums about the RPRF and just thought i confirm with the consultant if we paid the fee or not and he tells me we havent and its better to wait till the immigration people ask you to pay. Now 1. we are pretty sure we paid the full amount my husband remembers paying more than a 1000 $ but like i said no receipt! is there anyway to verify this? through the Immigration office in canada? and secondly wouldnt it be better to pay the fees now rather than wait for them to ask? coz i have heard this takes more time later...any feed back will be much appreciated...thanks...

 even though you submitted the rquired docs in march it has been more then 2 months passed have't you sent them mail or ask them?

Yup if you even read on the official website for Canada Citizenship & Immigration it states that if you don't pay the fees then the process can be delayed by a few months. I paid both my fees right off the bat and sent it in with the paperwork from the beginning. When you pay the fees, there is supposed to be a receipt that you mail with your application, it has a receipt number on it too...I believe you have to at least pay the sponsorship fee before they transfer the files to ISB...he must be lying to you but I could be wrong.

i just emailed them last month and now :d.. ab nahi karoongi :p...
u know my husband works for the government of canada too, he told me if someone inquires about something too much, i get annoyed and delay their files.. i told him its because of their curses that my immigration is taking too long

yes that's absolutely right you have to be patience and jut to wait .

he probably paid the sponsorship fee and pocketed the 500 and so most likley have to pay RFPR whch is close to 500

and brother u are right it will delay ur case

ask ur husband to check his account also the GCMS notes will tell u what was paid or not
