IN NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES & STRAIGHT FORWARD CASE
1. After CHC-I receives your application they send you AOR which containes file number and estimated process time.. 2. They open your file atleast after 9-10 months for the first review 3. They send you additional documents request IMM, Supplementry forms etc alongwith updated PCC report. 4. They send you re-medical request within a monh after sending additional documents (in some cases they will send re-medicals alongwith PPR) 5. They do your back ground checks from CSIS & RCMP. 6. After completion of background checks they forward file to a decision making officer 7. Within ONE month decision is made 99% PPR 8. Passport Back with visa withn 2 weeks. (ENTIRE PROCESS MAY TAKE FROM 14-16 MONTH BOTH FOR WIFE AND HUSBAND CASES)
IN SOME COMPLICATED CASES OR DOUBTFUL CASES
1. After CHC-I receives your application they send you AOR which containes file number and estimated process time.. 2. They open your file atleast after 9-10 months for the first review 3. They send you additional documents request IMM, Supplementry forms etc alongwith updated PCC report. bUT ALSO A LETTER WITH SOME OBJECTION, EITHER RUKHSATI OR ANYTHING ELSE 4. They send you re-medical request within a monh after sending additional documents (in some cases they will send re-medicals alongwith PPR) (Plus Objction Letter) and they wait to resolve that objction either by conducting an interview of applicant or by getting additional supporting docments (i.e. more proofs, pictures, phone bills, letters, cards, travel etc) wich takes atleast 3-4 months extra 5. They do your back ground checks from CSIS & RCMP. 6. After completion of background checks they forward file to a decision making officer (If they don't find anything suspecious in background) 7. Within ONE month decision is made dependjavascript:void(0);s on background check results 8. Passport Back with visa withn 2 weeks.
(ENTIRE PROCESS MAY TAKE FROM 20 - 24 MONHS IN BOTH HUSBANDS & WIFE CASES)
You mentioned they CHC-I sends AOR once they receive yourfile -- no one is receiving AORs ---- People who Receive AOR from CHC-I get documents requested at the same time --- I know a few members who received AOR and other PPC and re-meds requested at the same time after 8 months their file was with CHC-I---- Are people receving AORs once the file is transfered to CHC-I??

Yes i already got the gcms no, I just want to know how to check the status of my spouse application? in cic.gc.ca there is no gcms option i wondered where to check the status?
GO to cic.gc.ca then click (check aplication status) next and than next(form will appear) choose immigration file number .You have to check your file status with your File number starting from "F" and put in your information. Don't check using sponsor client id number and his information. When you log in using File number and your information in E-case, then if you see your address on the top that means your address didn't disappear but if you don't see ur address then it means there is some activity happening on your file meaning they opened your file for initial review.

Hello PEEPZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ My wife received the passport on May 16th. Along the passport, CHC returned all the documents and pictures. I cannot thank Allah enough. These were one of the difficult 13 months. Finally IA by the end of this month, I will be reuniting with my lovely family. I also want to thank each one of you for your support, answering some stupid questions posted by me. Because of work and other things happening in my life, I am not able to come to the website everyday, but if you send me an email, I can reply to it really quick. If you peepzzzz have any questions or want to get any information, please let me know, I will be more than happy to help you and provide you whatever information I have. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE......you all will soon be reunited.

Hi guys,,
Heres my timeline:
App Filed : December 2010 AOR Received: March 2012 Additional Docs Request: March 2012 Re Med Request : March 2012
Re Med Submitted: April 2012
Now 2 weeks back my Ecas status had the addition of MEdical Received but the status was still "Application Received"
It changed yesterday and now the Ecas status says "In Process"
It says they started processing my husband's application on May 15th, 2012.
Any idea how long its gonna take from now on?
