This could mean that they have perhaps opened/touched your file for some kind of review. A wife's case can take anywhere from 17/18 months to 22 months to get fully processed. Since you are currently in the 12th month of the process, expect another four to six months wait before you receive any communication from CHC.

btw seems like they r speeding up the process a bit as i was not expecting them to even touch my file in 12th month....

Yeah, they are working on February cases, look like someone got progress from February 2011 cases, their addresss disappeared.  

just checked my wifes status with her file number.  it states her home adress and says the following

We received your application for permanent residence on February 18, 2011.
 
We started processing your application on February 14, 2012.

If husband case, it might be something November- December, really slow.

Sent my email to Mr.Imran Ali..  Got the following response :
"Ali this needs to be raised collectively with the immigration minister
Thanks for your email we are taking it up in Ottawa and Islamabad"

i wanted to know if anyone from 0ct 2010 has heard anything from CIC yet... bcz ive been sponsered since oct,2010 and app recieved in isb on 4th nov,2010. its been 15 months since there is no reply from the embassy. i had mailed them and they replied that " file is in queue with the immigration officer" my wife has sponsered me..n now we are also married since 4 months,,so should i send them my wedding pics volunatarily or should i wait???
please do help me in this regard...

I recently got married in Pk and am in the process of submitting my application. I see a bleak future for myself and my wife after reading this forum for a few weeks now. We are having a difficult time staying apart only after a month, I cannot imagine what 26 months will do to us.. Today I finally decided to register and introduce myself.

I have emailed Mr Imran Ali with the following:

Hello Imran,

I have recently gotten married in Pakistan and am in the process of sponsoring my spouse. I was apalled at the disparity in processing timelines between Pakistan and other countries in the region. I feel like this is a breach of my very basic liberties and human rights, to put such long timelines which keep apart two married people, often not long after their civil union, is utter nonsense. I would like to raise this concern with you, and would like you to further raise this concern with the Canadian Immigration Agency and whomever else you seek fit to help change these timelines, and normalize them in accordance with other countries in the region.
Please do let me know what I can do in my power to change this ridiculous profiling against the Pakistani populous.

Please do not hesitate to reword my email and cater it to your own personal situation and email Imran Ali as well..

I have been in touch with many immigration lawyers in DT Toronto, to whom I have been referred to by my associates at my workplace. My associates often need legal aid with many similar disconcerting issues, such as the one we are all collectively facing..
I have been given the indication by these immigration lawyers that if we are to gather a good number of people, we can raise a voice towards the Canadian government using the federal court as our medium. I have been assured that this will have ramifications in the form of proactive action.

I believe that what we are all going through is a breach of our basic human rights, and I believe that if we are to suffer in silence, then we will be persecuted in the form of no change at all or worse, longer timelines...
Depending on how many people we can gather in the upcoming months and how many people are willing to join in on taking a proactive step towards ending this scrutiny against us, I think we should try to take this up in court.

Lets not suffer in silence..
