So what is the new Time line ?  Even more then 26 Months? What the Hell they want from us...It is Unbelievable

We don't know for sure that it will be increase but most likely it will be the case based on the last 2 year trend !

I just checked, they have not yet updated the site.  It may take another week or two before they update the new numbers.  They typically do so at the end of day Tuesday, or end of day Wednesday, so it may happen tonight or tomorrow night.

Keep in mind, if they increase the time, or keep it the same (which is highly likely), there is nothing anyone can do but wait.

I myself applied in May 2011, and my application was received by Islamabad in July 2011.  I know that my application will not even be touched before September/October 2012.  All I can do is wait.

When you marry someone from Pakistan, this is the cost of doing business.  When I got married, I thought it would take 6-8 months, but now I see it takes roughly 18 months, but as mentioned, this is something we will all have to learn to live with.

Dear Danny, Even they increased the timeline in near future does not mean that your timeline would be increased to the new timeline because you have already applied earlier and it would be the timeline when you applied. but for those people who applied according to the new timeline of course those would have to suffer for lot longer than us.

Fj423---------------------- January 2011 [H] - Received remedical request

This means, people that applied in January 2011 are seeing movement on their applications.  This is a positive development.

It still means it will take another 2-3 months for Fj423, but its a good sign.

There is a rumour and possible Chance that CIC will decrease the application processing times in Countries like Saudi, Pak and Dubai. The reason behind this is the Arabian countries have now put the Visa applications of Canadian citizens in the long processing waitlist because of the application processing times Canadian embassies are applying in such countries. And Canada needs Visa or its officers in such countries. lets see waht happens.

Saudi Arabia deserves the admiration over slowing down the visa process for canadian in retaliation. Just wish if the Pakistan would have the guts to do that too.
