hi guys i am new on here i wondering if any of you can help me out a lil so here is my story

I want to invite my wife to Canada on a visitor visa because i might have to go threw a brain surgery in feb 2012 for which i have all the doc's notes confirming my condition and inability to fly anywhere :p

I was trying to fill out the papers my self i would like to know which applications to attach from the following site

Sending letters will create problems when they see ur names cic could delay ur cases the balls in cic court

if you gays see my post i want to luanch a protest , i have already said that .. please do some thing this wait is breaking our relation .so please i have seggesstion for you all if you are agreed we are doing nothing wrong aganist canada we will do it for us . we have to raise our voice this is right political step this is humans world thats how people brings issues in to the consideration of  athuorities if you all are agreed i have ideas .

1 -  If the current pattern is any indication, the agents at CHC Islamabad will do an initial review of your file in about 12 - 14 months from the date the file was received at Islamabad.

After the initial review, they will ask your wife to re-fill some forms and submit them along with an updated police clearance certificate. The request for re-medical will be sent around the same time as well. Someone will conduct a background check on your wife. If all is clear (i.e. background checks, medical, police clearance), CHC Islamabad will ask your wife to send her passport to them. Passport will be stamped with the visa and returned to your wife. Your wife buys a one way ticket to Canada, and both of you live happily ever after.

If your case is 'Nikah only' there is a high chance that you will, after the initial review, receive an objection letter from them asking for you to perform rukhsati as well and then re-submit updated proof of relationship evidences. This will obviously cause further delays in the processing of the application.


2 -  Your wife can obtain a file number for her application. She can send an e-mail to CHC requesting for the number. The sample template of the e-mail is as follows:

Sponsor's DOB: (Month/Day/Year)
Sponsor's Address: XXXXXXXX
Sponsor's Phone #: XXXXXXXXXX

Applicant's Full Name: (First, Last)

Applicant's Passport#: XXXXXXXXX (This can be omitted, I didn't send the Passport #)

Dear Immigration Officer,

With reference to above mentioned Client ID, I have been sponsored by my wife/husband dated (Month/Day/Year) and sponsorship was approved dated (Month/Day/Year) and file was transferred to Islamabad dated (Month/Day/Year).

I have not received any letter of acknowledgment regarding my application from your side. Please provide me with my Immigration File #.

Best Regards,
Your Wife's Name


3 -  If you are a Canadian Citizen (Not PR), the child will be considered a Canadian Citizen as well. There is no need to add the child to your application, no medical examination or fee is required. You must, however, send CHC-I a copy of his or her birth certificate.

I think we should try again but we need to draw a strategy and see what did not work last time and what could be done this time. There is a already a Facebook page so feel free to join them.

In my opinion we need to draw a pressure through our MPs. A letter should be handed personally by a group of few people who discuss and convey their concern to their respective MPs. This letter should be signed by at least 70- 100 people per constituent. It's will be hard for an MP to ignore a letter which is signed by 50-100 people. MPs can't risk to loose so many voters in next election.
  so if 50-60 MPs talk to PM or JK than it will be vary hard for them to ignore their plea. As i think MP is only the person who can put any pressure on the conservative caucus. we should not discuss our personal cases to MPs because it's waste of time. Instead we need to put a joint pressure on each MP. All we want from our MP to raise this issue in the parliament or talk to Jason Kenny to address this issue.

Secondly we all need to gain momentum. I think we should use social media for this purpose. whether it be twitter or FB.  just invite ur family  and friends to join. Lots of Pakistani political parties are quite active in Canada. We can just ask their member to throw  their support behind us.

Also Liberals and NDP MPs can also raise this question in parliament. They sure need Pakistani community votes in next election so it's a good time to gain our support. If any one doesn't come to our rescue than we as community will not support them in next Fed election. Simple is that.

so get support day by day > Just my thoughts.

Ps: I have been on this forum for some time and it amazes me that when ever someone raises this issue there is alway a person who tries to stop it. I always wonder why people are so afraid of it.  May be they are very close in their process so thats why they don't want to bother. But they shouldn't stop or discourage other people to protest this unfair system.

Also some people blame Pakistan's situation for the delay. It might be true but in my opinion Conservative govt  has it's own agenda. So if you are not jew/Christian than your out of luck. In my opinion Jason Kenny got pissed when Pakistani MP Shahbaz Bhatti got killed. Since than they are continuously increasing the time limit. (Just my opinion).. Also Riko Diq might be another reason.

And please don't afraid to protest. It's our legal right. Don't be afraid that they would know our names or what not.. Believe in God and try your best to fight against this racism. Best of Luck

dear friends .. ok for all pakistanies . first of all i would say listen to imran khan even if you are not a memeber of thereek insaf that man is a source of encorgement motivation thought will power . sir imran khan says . never ever give up and do not make your policies upon fear u cant make a fair policy then. so keep this in mind .
so here i tell you ideas . first of all  all pakistanies speacialy family class because there case are different . select a day at least get 30 people and if you dont have then get some common people who even dint apply go out side of foriegn office pakistan and protest there with cards and banners that we are victimized and ignored if you compair it with other countries even if it is not other countries this time frame is inhuman .try to approach hina rabani foriegn minister . and force her that she talk to jeson kenny .  also  you have got geo tv . a r y i will say approach mubashir luchman from express chennels and also request him that he call some canadian human right n g o who is working in paksitan lets have a debat only put one question is it exaptable for a canadian that some other country keep him waiting to meet his/ her spouse after 2 years.
i am encouraging pakistanies in england as i live in england to launch a protest in front of pakistani high commission first then on front of canadian high commssion and if possible to bring it under the eye of media.
third one which will actuly put alot of pressure all canadain soponcer gather themself out side jeson kenny office with banners card that this processing time is not acceptable .
take ur children as well as i know there are some applicant has got their babeis in canada call human right commissions and media to support you .
make one person your leader . who should pressuries for negosiations for example speak to kanney and ask for the reasons why it is delaying with pakistanies and if there are geniuen issue with that then try to address it for example
back ground check . they says pakistani agencies dsnt reply quickly this what you can speak to hina rabni that why paksitani agencies dont reply push her to make that office active.
2 . if they says that there is less staff ok . we are willing to pay extra fee higher more staff.
3 . there are 2 real  issue . one is that pakistani mentality they are much affraid of that fundamental mentality which is hundred percent true i am 100% agreed with this concern . we have to work out on it ..  i will soon come up with this sloutions for this true facts of our fandamentalisic apporach but this some thing we have to change and we need to becuase even if we are not living in westren countries in paksitan we should change it . the other importent thing is skillfull spouse becuse they have this concern that paksitani spouse are unskilled so more chance are as soon they reach they go on benefits which is in most cases true i have idea for it too . hope you all understand it and ist get yourself deserving then desire

Do you get this idea just by the information provided by the members or some responsible person from CHC informed you? because some immigration lawyers told my husband in Canada that CHC is too slow due to staff shortage and it would take lot longer. Please reply at your earliest so we can plan accordingly.

Hi,

It is true that CHC-I is short staffed. But we have seen a few November and a couple of early December 2010 cases get the first request. I don't have a source at CHC-Islamabad. The only way we can track them is from the member updates on this site. Hopefully they will hire more staff sooner than later.
