CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2011 -2012

I applied for my wife on Jan 5 ,2011
Application received in Jan
After approval it was send to pakistan
Received in Pakistan on 25 Feb, 2011

After that i haven't heard anything, what is the timeline going for this process

welcome to the forum. According to CIC website the timeline is 26 months but we have seen that most of the cases are finalizing withing 16-18 months these days. My file was transfer back in September 2011 Nikah only. Is your case is nikah only too or full wedding?

Has anyone here tried to apply for a visit visa, after applying for immigration, and successfully received it?

I am thinking of doing so for my wife, but everyone I speak to tells me this is just not possible, it will absolutely get refused.

Any comments?

It is possible to get a visit VISA for your spouse who is currently waiting in pakistan for a PR VISA to be approved. You just have to show enough evidence and ties back home that after the VISA expires the person would go back to their country. If you are successful in convincing the VISA officer, you will get the VISA, otherwise 90% cases get refused.

i did and got my visa within 2 weeks applied 2 months back!!!  

Can you tell me the sort of proof you provided to show that you will return to pakistan?

sabii yes for sure you should give it a try. Allah ka naam le kar apply karen sab kaam banega. ALLAH PAK is supreme yeh CHC k bus mein kuch nahin hai. If you read TorontoStar then you must have known how much pressure CHC is going through right now. I am sure ALLAH have all the powers and with our dua things will change in our favor. Sorry to say but some ppl here dont have proper faith they should know that CHC k rules k baray mein ronay k bajay encourage each other to pray and go for things without any fear. My prayers are with you and with everyone else ALLAH PAK INSHALLAH sab k kaam banyenge. Ameen

NO i don't have official statement, and I am not spreading any negativity. I am strictly basing my point on what I have seen in the past 2 years on this forum. I never said not to try it, I am just putting out a valid point. A lot of people have tried it, some got through where most(about 90%) got rejected. What did I say wrong in this? I am giving out information so they can prepare a stronger application thats all. You might have misunderstood me for some reason.

That's what exactly I was trying to say that you only have experience just on this experience and I think you are completely aware that not every applicant share their experience on this forum there is only small % of us applicant using this forum and therefore I think without having some additional experience beside being on this forum you should not discourage anyone before they can even take positive step.

I would like to share my personal experience with my lawyer who is being in this field for last 30 years in fact we all are using a forum created by him he own this forum Mr. David Cohen. Since I applied for my wife spousal visa he asked me voluntarily if I would like to get my wife here on visit visa and have indicated to me that it wont create any trouble for my case and also the process is easy and simple and as long as your case is strong there will be no trouble obtaining visit visa. The only reason I didn't proceed with it because I haven't done the ruksati yet and due to our cultural restriction my in-laws wont let me do it before ruksati which I am agree too.

sorry to everyone for sharing such a lengthy story but the whole point is that if such a qualified and professional lawyer said that its possible then for sure it is and we should not limit our self to experience share on this forum we should think out side the box.

AOA, im new to the forums and had a few questions.

I applied for sponsorship for my wife to come to Canada.

Missisauga accepted Jan 18, 2011

Islamabad recieved the papers Jan 27, 2011

As per a few friends they applied 1-2 months earlier than i had, btw it is a full marriage with nikkah. My friends process is completed, im hoping mine gets completed soon as well.

Questions I had were, that if i think i might be missing some documents, can I send these documents to islamabad? even though they might still have these documents, would it affect the process?

is it possible to send these documents through email, rather than regular mail?

And after inquiring to them through email, did you guys recieve the msg where the intial review has not started and your file is in que?

Any help would be appriciated, thanks.

haven't heard any thing yet
iam married for 6 years have 5 years old son full doccuments there should not have been any problem for them but don't understand what is taking so long for them,
if someone from nov or dec 2010 plz kindly let me know if they have received any letter or request from isb. as i heard they have started nov 2010 cases .

i want to ask u abt ur friend's case as u said he applied a month before u .Could u plz tell me something more abt his case  that what was the exact month of his application arrived in isb.im curious to know as mine is dec 3rd 2010. if they have started processing dec cases so i should inquire from them abt mine .My case is simple, sufficient enough proofs but still waiting.
