hi guys, guess what? i received an email today that my application was accepted and i qualified to sponsor my husband my file has been sent to islamabad, im so happy, atleast it started, i was getting a little worried since its been almost 3 months now since i sent it in..but hopefully things will go smoothly now, i know its a long wait but atleast its begun...now i can go and visit my husband during christmas holidays..yayy!! Make sure you collect all the proofs including proof of visit (i.e. Passport stamps, boarding pass, tickets), take lots of photos and then send everything such as updated emails, chats, phone bills etc to them voluntarily after about 4 - 5 months to make your case stronger.

On my wife's Ecas the mailing address is my reps address...and its a Canadian address of course...now of course all the corespondense from CHC-I will come to my rep here in Canada...and as I can see it takes about 20 days plus 4-5 days to send it back to my wife and then to CHC-I...the IMM forms and rePCC have to be sent out within 45 days and PPR within 15 days if no remed...what can I do in this situation What can be done? ??

raptorsfan - same with me bhai on my wife's ecase too it shows my lawyer addres. I used to send forms for my wife to sign through register mail yeh it cost me more then usual but my wife alwyas gets my mail within 3-4 days. So I guess we dont have any option other then using fedex. If you want I can find out more info for you from my dad as he is the one who took care of it for me. I personally feel if u've sent TONS of pics and proofs(like i did) initially then there shouldn't be a need to resend more proofs. Of course that's just my personal opinion!

I wouldnt think they would put you in interview queue for just informing them of the new born baby. If anything it makes your case strong(Humanitarian & compassionate reasons). And the old files that are being put into the new system GCMS are getting new files numbers starting with F00 so its nothing to worry about. In sha Allah you will hear from them soon too.

According to Citizenship Act which was amended in 2009. If a baby is born outside Canada and one or both parents Canadian Citizen by birth or Naturalized(Landed Immigrant), then the baby is automatically Canadian Citizen. All that needs to be done is that the Canadian Citizen (in your case its the mother) needs to fill out a form where she will proof her citizenship and then the baby will become a Canadian Citizen....look into it....its your wife's right...its your baby's right... EDIT: THIS IS FROM CIC WEBSITE The limitation affects the way people acquire Canadian citizenship outside Canada. It means that, in general, children born outside Canada on or after April 17, 2009, will only be Canadian at birth if they are born to a Canadian parent who was either born in Canada or became a Canadian citizen by immigrating to Canada as a permanent resident and subsequently being granted citizenship (also called naturalization). http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/facts/born_outside.asp

yes,we have already been applied for our child's citizenship.it gonna take 12-18 months to process, but we can get temporary passport for her that is valid for 3 months and we can get only one time when application in process.but we want to apply for that once my application is done too so that father and baby can go togather
