It's very weird. They are asking to do a TB investigation which seems to take about 6-8 weeks and then a repeated Chest X-ray AFTER 12/12/2011. So it seems like we can't expect anything before December 12. Very frustrating. Why can't they do all the tests at one go! Anyway the reasons and options you gave seem reasonable. Will try to contact them and ask for reasons. My husband apparently doesn't seem to have any health issues/concerns. They are asking for history of TB treatment and drug schedules used when he isn't on any!
Thanks again, you were very helpful.

Asak,

Sorry to see that you guys are going through this. Hopefully, this will all end soon. Just my two cents, TB is contagious and an airborne disease, so I believe that's why they are extra cautious in your husbands case. I think you will have to do the tests till all's clear. I hope he's seeing a doctor now if there really is a health concern. All the best!

I have created seprate thread for Nikah only cases. Please feel free to join that thread for some valuable info.

I think that thread will help a lot of us who have nikah only cases. There is no need to be scared if you only had your nikah done. I work in one of the bank here in Toronto and had a chance to assist one of my customer who is senior immigration officer and he have informed me that Ruksati have nothing to do with your case. CHC only cares for Nikah nama and solid proof of your relation development over the time i.e email record, call records, gift receipts and what ever you can have.

I also applied for my wife and we only had our Nikah done and Inshallah I am positive that we wont have any difficulties. I would like to share my best practices with other members out there on this forum who are scared or stress over nikah only case.

Just pray and have faith on Allah. If you have done the right thing then nothing to worry about. But if you are still scared then that simply mean that you have lack of faith.

Thanks!
He isn't complaining of anything and I don't see any symptoms of TB either, but yeah for our satisfaction he's going to see a specialist soon. And have to get these tests done too. Hoping all goes well.

They were probably just guessing it as the last one was updated on July 26th and they update it every 3 months or so.

Hi to all, Please senior and experts kindly advise.
My aunt introduced me to a girl in Canada (who is her friends daughter) we exchanged e-mails, phone calls, adding on face book etc. We decided that we are suitable for each other and will make good match. Her uncle who lives near me here in Pakistan also interviewed me and found me suitable person. We both declared our commitment to our relatives. Then she visited with her parents and other siblings to Pakistan and we got married with all traditional ceremonies which included mendhi, mayoon, Nikah, reception.  Please tell me if this would fall in the definition of arranged marriage? Further How Canadian law views arranged marriages. Would highly appreciate your advise. Thanks in advance.
