They are still working on Sept/Oct. Asif's case was a special case, he sponsored his 2 year old kid and the medical was also expiring in Nov2011 so they expedite his process...

As long as the message is out there its all good!

Islamabad time starts from the time when application was transfered to Islamabad. According to their website it takes 24 months, but as we have seen it in the last 12 months that on average it is taking anywhere from 12-16 months to finalize from AOR. So lets hope it gets even faster for the rest of you InshAllah.

Add another 69 days in Mississauga, since thats how long it is currently taking for that process.

Welcome to the Forum !

Its better to paste a picture on a sheet of paper and type the description underneath. (i.e. Ocassion, Names from Left to Right, Date, Relationship to the bride/groom). It is okay to fill the form by hand but make sure you print it (i.e. write in capitals so it is easier to read). Feel free to add a page if your answer isn't fitting in the given space and attach it with the form. When your husband applies for you, he should make sure he is preparing your application like a lawyer is preparing a case i.e. with enough proof of marriage, rukhsati, ongoing relationship proof (Phone logs, chats, email) Money transfer receipts etc. The stronger your case is, the better chances for you to avoid any kind of objection or a request later on for more proof. Hope it helps.

At that time the process time was 54 days and now its been over that period, however now it says 70 days, so should wait for 70 days or be concerned? I heard they send a confirmation letter upon receipt, that they have successfully received my application and are working on it, but i havent received it  please help...

The only letter you will receive is from Mississauga office once your application has been approved.
Consider delays of mails as well. Plus you can contact CIC Call Center to get the updated info.

They would have sent an approval letter to your husband...you have to ask him if he has received that letter from CPC-M...if some documents were missing or the forms were not filled out properly then CPC-M might have sent the whole thing back to him to fill out what is missing and resend it. If he already got approved then the file gets sent to CHC-I directly from CPC-M. Now CHC-I does not sent out Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR) anymore. Hence, you will not get a letter of confirmation that CHC-I got your file safe and sound. However, this is what you can do. About 3 months after applying, you can e-mail them and ask them for your file number just so you can check your status on e-cas.

thanks for ur help, but i dont understand   why would thy send it to my husband who is in pakistan, i am sponsoring him to canada, is he suppose to receive the confirmation letter? i always thought thy would contact me..

CIC Mississauga will contact you not your husband. CHC Islamabad will contact your husband.
