If I remember correctly your file transfer was in Feb 2011. I think you should send the documents and proof as soon as possible as you just hit the 9th month mark. Remember it takes them atleast a month to place the documents on file.

Yes..they received my file on feb 17, 2011...inshallah i will visit my rep on monday and he will send stuff out to CHC-I...i do have a question tho...my wife recently changed her cell phone number and she gave her old cell phone number to CIC...now what is the procedure to inform CIC...my rep told me along with all the documents that are going to be sent we ill send a document stating the old phone number and the new phone number...is this true? or is there another way?

Send it once voluntarily 6-7 months after your file transfer so before they do your initial review. Don't send anything voluntarily once they have finished with your initial review (request for rePCC and IMM forms after about 9-12months of file transfer). It might make a difference if your case is simple and straight forward.

wes bhai...i have a question...my shaadi was not just nikkah...it was mehendi, mayun, nikkah, rukhsati, rasms....basically everything...except for valima b/c we have all the social gatherings in canada and not pakistan...now is this considered a simple case..

Alhumdulilah Letter recieved, Passport, seat reservation and recent photographs requested.

Strange thing was that TCS courier has dropped letter in our locality in front of someone's else house. They called my house and my family collected the letter

My family has recieved a call from VO, they mentioned a letter they have posted asking for my kid(the one i have sponsored) passport and travel iterany. They also mentioend that medical will be expired in Nov/end so she should travel before that and they will issue VISA once they get req docs.

I hope to recieve the letter they have mentioned so that i can send the paspport and ticket. Should i wait for the letter or send before that?

I wish you all a speedy processing, it has been a testing time for the whole family....
I feel it was fast as probably there was no background verification involved for my 2 years old kid, rest of the family has valid PRs and secondly TRP processing might have triggered the case as well...

So it is original passport, travel iternay(seat reservation)... anything else? Document would have details but just curious... how many days they normally take to issue visa and return the passport and what would be an appropiate reservation (after one week, two... from the date of sending passport?)

What reasons did you mention that your family will leave Canada at the end of the visa?

Yes, you can write a letter informing them to update their records as your wifes number has been changed.
