PCC = Police Clearence Certificate (They require an updated PCC to ensure that the applicant didn't have any criminal activity since the last PCC was issued)

IMM Forms = Immigration forms (They ask to do some of the forms again to get updated information on the person being sponsored)

They don't ask to fill all the forms but part 2 Immigration forms for the person being sponsored. The request letter would state the forms that need to be filled out, so one can print it off the website, fill them and send them to Islamabad embassy.

need some help here:

My birth certificate is dated 3 years after my birth in UAE. The one that was issued a week after my birth has a different name on it, which was just tentative and was changed after a week or so.

What documents should I submit? Would a 3 year post-dated birth certificate work, or would it raise questions? I didn't want to get into the hassle of giving the first one (of which I have no original anyway) and then linking it to the actual second one.

does anyone have any experience here?

If its just dated after 3 years that it was printed and received then its ok but if the birth was registered after 3 years  that not good, they will raise questions.

the first one with the temporary name is dated after a week. so the birth was definitely registered on time. the process of change-of-name in UAE took about a month, but the actual document was received after 3 years, I'm not sure why. Angry

so I'm not certain where I stand.

As long as the certificate is not recent its all good. If its date 3 years after the birth its fine. I had a similar issue where my wife's name was spelled wrong in the original birth certificate. My inlaws got a recent certificate made with last years date on it. I only sent in the original one which was dated 2 months after her birth. So in my opinion if the date on the certificate is 3 years after your birth, it should be fine as long as its not more years that 15-20 years or recent one.

Danny is correct! And my experience from being on this site for the last 12 months say the same thing.

July/August 2010 AOR applicants here on the forum have started to receive requests for updated PCC and IMM forms finally so that means their initial reviews have started. Currently it is taking 9-12 months for initial review (file opens for the first time after getting transfered from CPC-Mississauga) and then the actual process starts, background checks, medicals need to be done again since the first one is expired then the passport request.

Danny and Wes786 are right, my friend had his MP look into his wife's application and MP came back with statement that they are processing forms AOR's from August in Islamabad.  This was almost 3 or 4 weeks ago.

Hi Guys,

Thanks a lot for sharing helpful information. Danny/Wes, can you guys please suggest that approximately how many months CIC can take to reach the files recieved in Jan/2011, keeping the current speed and status (july/aug-2010 in progress) in prespective.

I have sponsored my newborn and waiting for application processed. Secondly, I applied a TRP as well from ISB in May/2011 but not reply as yet. Any idea how long it can take?

Thanks,
Asif

Hi Asif,

Looking at their current speed, I would say Jan 2012 is when they would start processing Jan 2011 cases. I really hope they speed up right now and reach Jan 2011 files by November 2011 as I would expect them to slow down in December due to holidays. This way atleast those files are done initial review by Jan 2012 and then would just need a review from Immigration officer in Jan 2012. CHC I works on limited Visa quota and If there are too many applicants from Aug-Nov 2010 then its most likely that they won't speed up.

Did you communicate with them regarding your newborns TRP yet?  Processing time takes as long as it takes, some applications are fast, some are slow. The only way to make it faster is to provide everything (and more) that is needed for immigration to make a positive decision.
