Please let me correct you. Somebody can make Free call from anywhere in the world into the Us & Canada by Gmail.
But not free dialing from the Us & Canada to the world.

Well I do. I call canada for free. When I call my hubby on his Gmail number from US. Metro Piece of crap is alright.

My wife is with me in Canada on visitor visa while our sponsorship application is in CHC Islamabad. Her pakistan mobile number is not working now for some reason even though we asked Warid in pakistan to turn on roaming. She can send and recieve messages but not phone calls. So we sent a fax to CHC Islamabad informing that for now her contact number is our home landline number in Canada. The fax was sent about a week ago. I am wondering how would I know if they have actually add the contact number in her file? Is there a way to be sure. so that we can send the request again if they have not made that change. i think you should log-in to CIC official website via your file no. or UCI no. and there you can update your contact information which will be automatically known by CIC.

i have one question. i recieved the request for re pcc and other document  ( immigration forms + my husband's passport copy + my husband's tax documents) . why did my ecase status change to in process?? and when will i hear about remedical???
 as everybody on this forum is saying they are expediting 2011 cases, how can this be said and why???

Please let me correct you as well  . Google has discontinued its free service outside of US/Canad since 2011. You have to pay if you are calling from Pakistan.

Hi DSF ! When did your husband send the documents ? And when did your ecase changed to inprocess ?? If it has changed to in-process then ur husband'd definitely gonna get a re-medical request in  this week or next week !!

Huh...Interesting, let me check and get back to you. (u sure your wife is not using US IP/proxy?)..Anyway even on their website it clearly says that it cost 1 cent per minute to call from outside of US/Canada.

Nabeeha, please review www.cic.gc.ca for more information. I will still explain,

There are 2 steps involved.

Step 1 in your case took 60 days. (File transfer to Islamabad)

Step 2 which has not changed for a while is 26 months.

The two steps are consecutive so in your case the total time will be 2 months + 26 months = 28 months (Worst Case Scenario)
