very well said adilmk123. Lakin yahan in forums per kuch logon ka faith kamzor hai specially un logon k jo kehte hain k there is a problem with Nikah only cases. Its so funny I cant understand that if you dont even have a courage to say and/or stick with your cultural setting then why you even complain for processing times?? kuch log to yeh bhi kehte hain k yeh time delay nikah only cases ki wajah se hai. Mein sirf requeset hi karsakta hun un lgon se k bhai agar khud k ander itna dum nhin k apni baat manwa sako begair kisi k samnay jhukay to atleast jo yeh kaam kara hai usko to maslay ki wajah nahin banaou.

I agree with u that raising are voices will bring change BUT if it was CIC fault I would raise my voice no question about it BUT its not

why we have the longest timeline and BACK LOG:

1) because we are muslims and acts of others have put us in this situation which results in lengthy backround checks
2) Scams ( i know people who have brought there siblings kids as there own) (i know a women and people who get money and do perform illegal weddings to bring people illegally here
3) when CHC specifies NO NIKAH ONLY cases but we still go ahead and do them

there is no problem with nikah only cases BUT they create a problem for others just have the complete wedding so u dont have to wait for the OBJECTION letter and waste the immigration officers time and create a delay for THEMSLEVES and other APPLICANTS

so people should blame there own communities for the increased timeline not CIC the process

no one is creating right as the problem but people who want u to come to there country are not let u go off that is just with a ceremony and we are pakistani no one TRUSTs us

I respect everyones opinion on this however...Nikkah only cases have been taken advantage of a lot in the past....especially in the 90's and early 2000's while the liberal govt was power...and this problem was arising from pakistan...i know many people who actually got nikkah done with their sisters and when the sister came here...divorce...at that time...the process was only 6 months...now the same person...after a few years...got a nikkahnama done with another sister...and sponsored her...then divorce...the first sister was already a canadian citizen by now....she got a nikkahnama done with a brother and sponsored him....then divorce...pura khandaan canada aah gaya....obviously if 1 is going to misuse the system so badly...they r going to make it harder for people like u n me who are legit...nikkah only cases were good until it was harper minority...brother i have read various of ur other posts and u can submit all the proofs u want...they still will not send u a PPR and put ur file to 1 side...if u file under common law then yes...all the proofs u r submitting are legit and u dont need n e rukhsati...they will send u a PPR...according to pakistan...if its "just nikkah" its considered paper marriage...according to an immigration officer sitting in CHC-I....the proofs can be fabricated...and photos can be taken at n e photoshoot....

Well just wait till the objection letter arrives sometime next year...and if u show them ur attitude and rights and freedom and all of that....good luck with the process...ur file will be placed on 1 side until rukhsati confirmation is submitted...

Khalifa bhai I would love to see any document or conversation which you had with Immigration officer where they indicate that CHC specifes NO NIKAH ONLY cases?Huh

each and every case is treated as a seprate case by CHC and therefore every case have its own complexity. I will stick to my grounds that Only Nikah cases are definately not the cause for time increase.

I thought we are here on this forum to wish good things to others is it not the case?? and if its a challenge then I wont take any challenge as my fait on ALLAH is very strog Mashallah and becuase of that strong fait I am in a position of telling you right now that mark my words today is Nov/03/2011 "I will get my ppr By the end of March in 2013" INSHALLAH.

Mashallah becuase of my parents prayers and my faith I am capable of making that "Change" no big words but you will see it soon.

Hi everyone
My case was applied on 8th of June 2011 and forwarded to CHC-I on 8th of August 2011. My daughter was born on 27th of July 2011, my wife lives in Toronto and it is getting a bit difficult for her to manage everything alone, especially after my daughter's birth when I tried to contact immigration office, they said

“If the application is strong, the whole process will likely take another 12 months minimum before it will be processed, maybe even longer before it's finalized.
If you would like to request for expedited processing, you will have to ask the Islamabad Immigration office to consider reviewing this case before the others in queue due to humanitarian and compassionate grounds.  The reasons you provide have to compelling and substantial to justify queue-jumping.”

All I need to know is what compassionate grounds do they need for a father to see his daughter, that can justify queue jumping?
Regards

Actually my former boss is a Canadian working for NGO in Islamabad he has got some considerable contacts in the high commission i asked him to find this out for me, so he asked someone in the CHC Islamabad and forwarded me the mail without revealing the name of his contact.

I have been following this website for a good two years now bro, and to tell you the truth I haven't seen anyone get their process expedite no matter how strong their contacts or connections are with the embassy and/or what situation they are in. The fastest case in the past two years that I have seen took 11 months and the guy's wife was an immigration officer at Calgary airport. So I highly doubt that it would make any difference in your case but there is no harm in trying, you might get lucky.
