Good news, January 2011 cases are now starting....soon will be turn on my cases!  Cheesy

Asif, good luck!

That is not correct. They are still working on Aug-Oct 2010 cases. Asif_786 sponsored his daughter. There are no background checks on the application as she is just 2 years old. He also applied for her TRV and TRP and both got rejected which triggered the processing.

OMGGGG....that is insane...I would die of depression if this was to happen to me....would you happen to know what is reasoning behind all this...and all the factors so we can avoid ourselves from doing that..one thing I know for sure is not to keep e-mailing them...they don't like it...what are other factors?

Yes there are different reasons for every case, but if your's is a simple case and if you have provided everything with your application and have been truthfull in the providing everything information they asked for then you are probably looking at aroung 14-15 months timeline max..

Immigration File Number / Application Number

You will find this number, also referred to as an "Application Number", on any official document issued to you from the visa office where you submitted your application. Your Immigration File Number/Application Number starts with a letter and is followed by a combination of nine (9) numbers or letters. (Example: B000000000 or EP00000000).

but the application # we got in letter is combination of 10

My family has recieved a call from VO, they mentioned a letter they have posted asking for my kid(the one i have sponsored) passport and travel iterany. They also mentioend that medical will be expired in Nov/end so she should travel before that and they will issue VISA once they get req docs.

I hope to recieve the letter they have mentioned so that i can send the paspport and ticket. Should i wait for the letter or send before that?

Thanks,

wow Congratulations Brother!!!

I am afraid but you are celebrating way too fast. His case is different from others as he has sponsor his child. Normal spousal processes are still at Sept/Oct 2010! So there is still few months before they finish all the 2010 cases, but I hope and pray that its soon for every one...

That Letter may have the form included which you need to filled in and required to submitt with Passport. Also they may or may not ask for new passport size pic's. My advice is wait  until you get letter and follow the instructions than send passport accordingly.

My wife emailed to ISL office (islamabad-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca), we received a quick reply back "Your application is currently in process and is in queue for initial review. " what does that mean?  It look like computer automation systems.  I asked them for status and serial order of the case.

Another question for Mississauga: I want to know which offices you order cheap tickets for PIA (straight nonstoppable) or online orders you experienced , I maybe have plan to go to see my wife in this December.  Please provide links or PM.    Shocked

Thank you!

Bro not to disappoint you but this is quick generic response which means your file is still in storage room its turn not arrived yet. A day when you get email response that "your file is in queue for review by VISA officer OR immigration officer" than its actually on officer desk in line to review.

As far as booking for traveling in December, just heads up fare will be expensive in December as it consider busy month. My advice is start looking now and if get best price book it now. Below is the search online engine which provide the best fare price for applicable airlines to the desired destination.

http://ca.skyscanner.com/

For best long distance rate to PK try ring123. Smiley See I gave you good bargaining links. If you need more info or deals PM me.
