did you receive your initial approval status by mail or by email? just curious... I filed mine in the week of July 15 and site says they are doing those last week, when can I expect to receive it?

u could recieve e-mail or letter i recieved a letter a day later they processed my file on august 31 and i recived a letter on september 1 |

Be careful sister and tell your husband to not give them DOB, FILE NUMBER and REAL NAME. Way too much things happened to people on the forum because of their own fault. Like how how Khilafah brother said it could be a scam call. May Allah help you for this... and i hope you get positive result of your call.
When some one do call OR get call from a Govt office. Two things they always asked for verificans. DOB and Your Name and most likely your address also. In addition its a call from CIC staff who is working for Govt not for a "Keryana Store" who can just call to any one for any reason at any time. Please reliaze that every act of the staff is being watched closely during regulor business hours especialy for LBS. Princess sister please advice your husband provide the correct information if he does get another call. Most likely those questioned they ask to verify your husband identification to make sure they are talking with right person. Most likely the letter will be AOR letter OR there could be possibility that your husband phone number could have been used by a different applicant previsouly so it may appeared as RED FLAG duplicate. I have seen peoples where they said they did provide correct address in the application however when the staff at CIC enter the info into system it shows a completly different address on ecase. They are also human just like us and are dealing with many files at a time so mistake can happen. Like above example it could be a duplicate phone number entry. Wait for your letter to arrive to solve the mystery. Keep us informed. |

First of all congratulation on PPR letter. Passport will come back with in 18 days. As you said your medical was valid until May 2011, means it was expired in May 2011. Base on my knowledge they wont issue a VISA without a valid medical. It is highly likely that they may have omit issuing you the re-medical letter. If that is the case if its come cross to their attention after receiving your passport they may issue you a urgent medical letter then it may take up to 2 months to receive your passport back. |
