True, guys always suffer a double whammy: look at my case..

First my girl friend told me she will not work and she wants an Audi A8.. I agreed.. Down the line I told her she should think of working like 20 hrs a week to keep her medical practice certification .. She did not say a word. I was happy that she agreed.. Only when I learnt that she has married someone else, I knew what she meant by her silence.. 

Secondly.. my wife took a convenance from me before marriage that she will not work.. will not drive a lot.. will not train.. will not blah blah blah.. I hurriedly agreed. Now I am expecting my child and thinking.. I will tell her later about saying a big NOOOOOOOOOO to all promises.. but thinking against it; as I do not want my sixth divorce.. 

Better suffer in silence..

I watched Madagascar 3 yesterday and I think Alex said and I am paraphrasing here that canadians work ethic is work 2 weeks a year. Is that right u Canadians? He also mentioned French but I m interested in Canadians only. By the way it's a must see movie.

Hello All,

Looking for some help and clarification from the experts in this forum, I applied to sponsor my wife from Pakistan in July of 2011 and was approved for my part by CPC-M in September of 2011. I've been checking the online Client Application Status page periodically and it had said under my wife's status that her application for Permanent Residence was received July of 2011. Just recently there has been the addition of "We have started processing" as of June 2012, what exactly does that mean? Is this something like data entry or something on the decision making? Is this normal on the timeline, a bit faster or slower?

Also initially when I had applied in June 2011, that was based on a telephone Nikah, since then we had the proper ceremonies including Walima and I've sent a second package with pictures and travel details etc., I'm sure I have enough proof to substantiate our relationship but my wife has not been able to change her name on her CNIC or passport, is this a problem? There are a few issues and NADRA is asking for my presence before issuing a different CNIC and other information, does this really matter?

Finally I was thinking of having my wife apply for a Visitors Visa, would that complicate matters somehow?

I recently did this when sending my hubby's ppr and my dad paid it while i was in Pakistan so i give him my log ins and the receipt came to my email and we printed and i put down my name since i sponsored by hubby and make sure you put your wife's name on top of the page with date of birth and her file number
