hi, just a piece of information for everyone, my husband called the immigration office in Canada regarding my case and how long its going to take..... one thing they mentioned in their conversation again and again is that don't e-mail the the immigration office for update as it slows your process even more

i didn't know that earlier and i have bugged them alot hope it doesn't slows my process Yea that's true more you contact them more it gets slower so my advice just sit back and relaxxxx.

Finally got the much awaited AOR. But a bit disappointed to see the way it was written. The format of the letter is very lengthy and contains repetition of instructions. The average timeline of nine months does not clearly state from where one should start calculating the months (from the date of receipt of application in Canada or from the date of file transferred to ISB or from issue date of AOR). In my letter the file number is pated on the middle of the letter but in the letter it is repeatedly stated that the number is on top left corner (strange and irritating!!!). I think ISB office should seriously pay attention in drafting such important letters. Ideally the letter should be concise and clear with complete address and phone number because all applicants prefer to send the stuff via courier service which needs High Commission's phone number. Secondly, it is really very frustrating that ISB is requiring marriage certificate and ect. in case these were not submitted before....why the ISB office does not know what an applicant had sent to the Canada office? ? whereas the sponsor had sent a checklist of all these items!!!!! Sorry to keep it too long but I wonder why ISB office is not capable enough to facilitate their local applicants? Canada office is dealing with applications from all over the world but their letter drafting and information sharing skills are marvelous!!! |

^ lol. i dont know about their drafting. but you dont need to send the marriage certificate and other documents if've sent them already with the original package. but what you can send is updated phone bills and email logs if you two are not living together. or pictures etc if you are living together.

Finally got AOR! they requested for more Nikah pics and requested to fill out some form.. no big deal.
Should I also include the pictures we have taken together so far, bus tickets from when he visits me in lahore, etc..?

hi send as much information as possible pics before, during and after marriage, phone bills, if you use any thing as skype or magic jack or msn include the prints from your computer. pictures of you and and your husband togethjer with the family members like on a dawat..... include tickets or any party invitation you got together.......include as much stuff as you can in one go as possible... Finally got AOR! they requested for more Nikah pics and requested to fill out some form.. no big deal.

Ok now this is making me so mad now on AOR it says your application was rcvd at this office on 24th March then AOR is dated of 26th June and now online status says we started processing on 21st June so 3 months gone waste? this is just so annoying Thats the way it is man .... these people are so cruel They count the days since the date they post the AOR . |
