CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2009 -2010

My friends wife got her Visa on friday. Here is his timeline:

1. Submitted Application in mississauga on 20th July, 2010
2. Got receipt of application from mississauga on 20th August, 2010
3. Islamabad recieved application on 20th September 2010 and his wife got AOR in first week of Oct 2010.
4. Got request letter from islamabad requesting for police certificate, rukhsati pictures and post marriage pictures on 10th dec 2011.
5. Went to Pakistan on Dec 28th, got the Rukhsati done on Jan 5th and went for honeymoon for a week.
5. Submitted proofs of contact, rukhsati, reception and honeymoon to Islamabad embassy on 24th Jan 2012.
6. Wife got call from Islamabad embacy on 17th Mar 2012.Asked her about husband's stay in pakistan and when he left .
7. Online status changed to "IN PROCESS" on 29th Mar 2012.
8. Wife got passport request and re-medical 17th apr 2012.
9. Passport and remedical submited 21st apr 2012.
10. Online updated to "Medical results have been received" on 4th May 2012
11. Online updated to "Decision Made" & "A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision. " on 14th may 2012.
12. Online home address updated to canadian address and mailing address to pakistan address on 17th May 2012.
13. Got visa and recieved passport on 18th May 2012.

Brother i wish it was my wife getting her Visa, but its my friend's wife who got her passport back. I just wanted to share his timeline with everyone on the forum.

ya address disappear doesnt mean anything i suppose as i read in the forms that it may happen when cic update there website some error occurs & address disappear as mine is disappear since 6 months after hv remedical.But i heard that address changes to canadian postal address later when decision had been made.Might b i m wrong but lets c wht other ppl think off.Hpfully will all hv good news v soon.

"Medical Received" Vanished from Status:  Apr 2011

I have visited my wife in Dec 2010, April 2011, Dec 2011 and April 2012. She is pregnant in 5th month.

No updates after that, I contacted MP on 21 Mar 2012 and his secretary told me that they started working on the file as she spoke.

No letter, nothing.

I am lost what to do? Need guidance and help.

Welcome to the forum

Wait for some correspondance from CHC-Islamabad. If they ask for more proof and PCC etc etc, then provide them with what they need. After that, once your wife gets her re-medical, then inform them about ur wife's pregnancy and her duedate. Keep the re-medical letter with you. Once the baby is born, you can apply for the passport for the baby if you are a Canadian citizen and get your wife to do re-medical. If you are a Permanent resident then you will have to add the baby to the appllication and then it might take 5-6 months post baby to get Visa. Overall you are in a sticky situation right now but InshaAllah everything would be fine. You can go to Pakistan to support your wife during this process.

My MP knew about the pregnancy and she has told CHC - Islamabad. I am a Canadian citizen.

I was expecting either status change on the file or a letter, nothing so far.

heya as u r case start in dec 2010 then there is a big chance that ure spouse visa will issued before the time of expectation.As Mp secretary told that they r working on the file so u dont need to worry applicant from 2010 are getting visa & nowadays files of aug-sept-oct-nov & dec 2010 are getting visa.So b relax & recite darud sharif as much as possible specially   @   night.Most probably ure spouse will get ppr & remedical  @  one go.So tk chill pill.Allah Hafiz o Nigaban

How is that possible when they have not yet called for second medical and PCC? I am not being pessimistic; but I am really concerned that they might drag it much longer.

Okay it could mean that they have put a bring forward date after your wife's due date and if thats the case then they will ask for all the things they need inorder to further process your wife's file after the birth of your child. Your wife can't get her X-ray done for the medical if she is pregnant (not safe for the baby).

Did your MP tell you that CHC_ISB are working on aug till dec 2010 cases now days? ?Is this authentic ?

Ok! Will that mean that no progress will be made on my file; not a background check etc. I mean to say nothing will happen for now and all this will start all over again after the birth?

It's been 23 days since I ordered GCMS notes ..Hvn't got them  yet..even though $5 has  been deducted 5 days ago!

Did your MP tell you that CHC_ISB are working on aug till dec 2010 cases now days? ?Is this authentic ?

I do not have any reason to believe that my MP's secretary will tell me a lie. She sounded very confident that they have just started working on the file; as she asked them the status and told them that the baby is expected by the end of Sep 2012; and that I would like to celebrate in Canada soon after the birth along with wife and child. I did not ask her what date they are processing. I know two cases who got their file in CHC - Islamabad in Nov 2010 and they were asked for PCC and re-medical in Feb 2012.
