well they asked me to send passport and they quote that " it seems ur visa is ready for issuance".so i dont think they take time to return my passport...

it is a generic sentence in the PPR letter..........whoever gets PPR, finds it on the top of first page
the exact words are;
"Your immigrant visa(s) appear(s) ready for issuance."
but the next line is exemplary
"You should not commit to any travel plans, purchase tickets, or take any irrevocable action such as selling property, or resign employment until you have received your passports and immigrant visas."

Should be 1 year after medical done. If you did re medical on Sep 2011 then your visa will valid till Sep 2012.

only if the passport does not expire before the expiry date of medical..........i think Blueeye did his medical in March......so his visa would be valid till March 2013...........but if his PP expires before March 2013, the visa will also expire at the same time

Dose anyone know how long it takes for backgroumd checks? chc isb emailed back my hubby saying that they recieved our docs on april 19 2012 and backgrounds checks are underway....
